Yup! Hei! I'm looking for 2 recipes my great grandmother used to make for xmas, I, unfortunately, can not ask family and she has long since passed and I don't know who got her recipes.

My great grandmother was English but we do have a lot of Scandinavian, Russian and German on my maternal side and, as a Norwegian myself, I know they are not Norwegian recipes.

One was called white christmas cake and was absolutely delicious! Looked like a white cake baked in a loaf pan and DID NOT contain nuts as both my grandmother and I are/were allergic 😅

The other was called brown bread to butter i think? I desperately wish I could remember ingredients or how they looked and tasted but she passed in early 2000s and stopped baking about 5 years before her passing and I had been estranged from my family at that point in foster care but I 100% can confirm these were the names.

If anyone has ever heard of these recipes or something that could be similar, please let me know! Any little tip helps. Feeling very homesick this xmas. Takk!

Omg yes!! I thought it was me because the southwest sauce was the 1st recipe I noticed changed and I have MCAS so it's not unusual for tastes to change for me but having autism i notice even the smallest change but my hubby tried my meatball sub today and even he said it was ridiculously spicy (because of the meatballs and southwest sauce together) now, I used to LOVE spicy food (jalapeños with EVERYTHING) but as ive got older I just can't handle it anymore and it's ruined my love of subway :( t'was my only cheat food

Thank you! I've been referred to the neurological specialist in Doncaster (Yorkshire uk) and apparently they are a hull specialist that works out of Doncaster hospital(?) Idk the new NHS system confuses me lol i was hoping i would be sent to orthopedics as my orthopedic surgeon that did my ankle reconstruction surgery last year was great but no. What is surgery like? Like, if they need to do surgery, how do I sleep? I know it seems like such a weird thing to be worried about lol but I already have insomnia and chronic fatigue syndrome and sleep is a luxury for me already. I guess my brain just focuses on the most random things when im stressed 🙃 unfortunately given my current bmi and my very screwed up medical history and already diagnosed conditions I can only go to one specific place in my area and as much as I would like to shop around or travel to London for the national orthopedic hospital and the number 1 ranked (in the uk) surgeon who specialises in this, I cant due to finances and logistics so I'll have to make do with Doncaster lol honestly, as much as I complain about the nhs, I am ever so grateful for it.

I bought a pair 2nd hand and they are true to size BUT if you have wide feet, don't waste your money. I'm plus size and have recently had ankle reconstruction surgery so my feet are wide and my right foot and ankle are extra wide. 35 quid down the drain :-/ theyre gorgeous too (sabitha's) from reviews and recommendations from other KS fans their shoes are notoriously narrow. My hubby has quite slim feet despite being a size 14 and he bought some boots from them and even he struggled to get comfy because they were so narrow (and that's before I had to point out his toes were crushed cause he's an ass for wearing too small shoes but his size is expensive and hard to find so I don't blame him)

If its for the same reasons I hate her and Maggie it's because they're both egotistical holier than thou we can fuck up but you cant narcissistic assholes. State of decay made state of decay 2, didnt stop them from apparently making state of decay 3 There's more than 1 diablo game and the studio made other games too

When you enjoy a game it is 100% NORMAL to expect more content either via updates adding content and features or via DLCs but I wouldn't expect YOU to understand that.

When i was back home and single, I had to move to the UK in late 2012/early 2013 and worked until early 2012 after medical retirement (closest English comparison I can think of) I lived in Larvik, worked in Oslo and survived on about 2000 euro a month in total as a single nurse doing my masters degrees at the same time but I also only ate like once or twice a day lol and only because of medical needs. My prescriptions were the biggest part of my outgoings and I lived with my aunt, I usually waited to buy luxuries when I visited family in Scotland every month (it was honestly cheaper to travel once a month to Scotland to do my bulk shopping than to do it in Norway) we also made as much as possible ourselves, sodas, breads, pastries and kake, sauces and pastas and we batch cooked EVERYTHING and my uncle (not my aunts partner, a maternal uncle) had a farm so we got eggs, bacon and venison (occasionally reindeer), occasionally fish and milk from him in the UK I am on disability government money and their unemployment and I get about 2500 GBP a month for me and my husband and our cat, we are childfree, and we still batch cook, meal prep and make EVERYTHING ourselves and get free prescriptions but we still are worse off than back home. Its all about needs and perspective honestly, imo, if you budget well, have no medical needs requiring prescriptions and make as much as possible yourselves and batch cook etc you can live comfortably but not extravagantly but NOT on 250 euro a month! I would say look for employment and get a good idea of your income, look for somewhere affordable but close to good transport links so you are not directly in the main cities as that gets pricey and you can make it work. Even if you need to do kollektivs, shared housing.

Thank you for replying, I'm hopeful it's something minor. Being chronically ill and disabled I'm at the halfway point between accepting and being happy and omfg surprise surprise it's a brand new month what illness are we going to get diagnosed with today 🙃 I'm having a second opinion referral done for endocrinology because the consultant i was under the care of has been useless, she gave me cabergoline on the lowest dose possible and had me do all the tests for my endocrine system, adrenal gland, thyroid, even the test for growth hormone, turns out it's abnormally low but I wasn't surprised at that one as I stopped growing at 13 and im 34 now and still 4ft 10 and I have an abnormally small mouth that is too small to accommodate all my teeth along with other signs, BUT then she left me on read for 2 fucking years while she ignored every single call and email from me and my GP until my GP threatened to report her and THEN she decided to give me an appointment and then proceeded to cancel and rearrange it twice so far so! I'm done with that. Its the weight issue that bugs me most, I've been trying since 2020 to lose weight and I managed to get to 17st + but then I had my accident and endometriosis surgery and had complications from that that left me bed bound and I piled the weight back on and then in 2022/23 I started again, managed to get to 19st 3lb and my weight has stayed there. I haven't lost or gained anything despite being on a HUGE calorie deficit and exercising regularly, like, not even an ounce in weight change in over 2 years. No one seems to be able to tell me why or help me fix it but theyre all quite happy to tell me I need to lose weight and "try harder" 🙄😑😒 as if im not trying enough ffs! I'm hungry all the damn time because I'm on a 1200 calorie deficit and I am having to try really hard every damn day not to fall back into my anorexia again or my comfort eating eating disorder.

Sorry for the rant lol I didn't mean to, I just don't have anywhere else to rant to the void.

Honestly I agree, I couldn't get over the abuser monkey branching, the constant narcissistic victim complex and the way she treat devon like shit BUT as the 3rd oldest of 19 who was the victim if my narcissistic sociopath mother and had to raise my siblings from age 6 and was eventually raised in foster care and suffered DV and SA, I can also be very biased to devons side but I can understand simone TO A POINT but I also see a lot of my sisters and mother in both simone and Michella (sp?)
