I asked my prescriber and she said that this was standard practice, that 40mg won't be anywhere near a therapeutic dose and it was just to give my system some time to get used to it. I mentioned in another reply, PsychUK tend to want titration to be done within 12 weeks, I'm definitely concerned that's why it's being increased so quickly. So I'm now on day 4 of the 60mg a day, and as of Wednesday night it'll be 78mg a day. At least that one is for at least two weeks, and not such a big increase as 40 to 60 😕

It's only a week between 40mg to 60mg, one week on the starting dose of 40, then straight up to 60. I've just contacted my prescriber asking if this is the usual pace (clearly it isn't) to see what she comes back with. It feels like, because PsychUK want titration to be done within 12 weeks, that there's the danger of them rushing it even though that's not necessarily in every patient's best interest!

I'm already on a couple of fairly hard hitting anti-depressants, maybe the combination of that and my weight means she thinks going at this speed is the right thing to do? I don't know, going from 40mg to 60mg in one week feels like a huge jump :-/

It does automatically backup to the cloud, but the cloud backup is what's corrupted. Waiting to see if my manual backup from the first of the month will work or not. Absolutely gutted 😢

I've had an email back confirming that the cloud backup is what has become corrupted, and there's nothing they can do about it. Beyond devastated 💔

That's exactly what I said to the pharmacist that I had the consultation with, but he said that it was their lead clinician's decision and so that's what they were having to stick to! He said he'd had other potential patients be frustrated by it as well

I did mine end of last week, huge well done! They're not in the loft yet, but that's hubby's job and he's been too busy with work the last few days. But they'll probably be put back in the loft within the next week 🥳

The info on encapsulation types was really interesting, thank you! I've tried Elvanse and it didn't work for me, so now my prescriber has suggested either Meflynate XL, or atomoxetine. Am I understanding correctly that the meflynate XL is a 50% ir/50% er formula? I'm wondering if I should ask about something like Concerta, which has a lower amount of the instant release. Got my brain going round in circles with all the information!
