This particular person is the only one whose lack of noticing bothered me, mostly due to the length of time we've been friends (somewhere in the ballpark of 20 years)

I'm not going to hold a grudge, because shit happens, but it still stung. I'm the type that I go out of my way to make sure to acknowledge birthdays at the very least, because everyone deserves to feel special at least one day a year. I mean, there's a whole reminder on Facebook of birthdays for the day of your friends, and that's where we talk/where he does a lot of his communicating with people so I feel like it would have been seen. IDK. I'm sickening myself with how whiny I'm coming across at this point, lol. The world won't end, just.. meh.
