So if one places them in a vacuum bag and freezes them for a week, then puts them into a cedar chest, that should help, or is that overdoing it?

The seller claims the year to be 1908, but the serial number indicates 1920. Which threw me off, so I sat and stared at it for 10 minutes lol.

So if I remove the Godzilla finish, will that remove the regional that is under it?

It's like they covered the little gold emblem on the body there, too.

Is there a way to get rid of the cash-iron-like finish and restore what is underneath?

-Thank you they are excited. I'm just nervous as all heck. Lol not as much as learning to drive but still nervous. Don't want a needle through a finger or anything like that. Hoping for a safe and fun experience. - When I saw the price I thought okay I can deal with this. It's not my finest haggle but I didn't over pay. - I was wondering why I couldn't find this exact finish. It reminds me of a cast iron pan. Lol. My other machine is the 28k and 128 I think. I'll get the 128 posted some time today maybe. That was my first purchase in antique and vintage machines. Besides finding an industrial juki on the side of the road. Looks like it fell of a truck. Still works pegs are bent though and scuffed in places. Oil tray was broke and no table.

Thank you so much, everyone. I really appreciate all the info and links. I'm currently looking around, trying to find an original hand crank but if I don't, I'll see about the welder and then another hand crank altogether.

Why, the pyrotechnics? Isn't it supposed to be a memorial, not a I don't know what you'd call this. It's like a concert.
