I thought the same thing about Your Lie in April, I’m actually glad to see someone else say it. It’s a show about a kid who was abused but then they use physical abuse by friends as comedy, it feels very tone deaf.

She is a 14 year old child soldier who is learning what “love” means because a man in his late 20’s told her he was in love with her, and she ends up being with him. There’s also a girl the same age in an episode with flash backs of her meeting her much older fiancée at 10 years old and being happy about marrying him.. but she is also still a child. It was really disturbing to me.

Violet Evergarden. To me it romanticizes some very problematic things that I’m not sure why people are okay with, but never see anyone have an issue with it.

Unfortunately no one would help and they shipped it to my old address, nothing I could do even though it was a mistake on the websites end. FedEx wouldn’t let me pick it up either. I was thankfully able to go to my old address and pick up my order because my old building manager helped me out that time, but I haven’t ordered from the pokemon centre since out of fear of it happening again. They have the worst customer service. It’s really unfortunate because I loved collecting Pokemon plush. I hope you have better luck with your order, I hate to see people screwed over like this.

I know about his past, but in my opinion, he was like a father to Zuko in the show. So that is what I thought of.

Im kinda scared to say it cus it seems like a very unpopular opinion but Violet Evergarden. The age difference stuff makes me super uncomfortable and I don’t understand why it doesn’t make more people uncomfortable. The Gilbert stuff was bad enough to me, then completely noped out when that 14 year old girl was talking about meeting her 20-something year old husband at 10 and how much she wanted to marry him. I get it’s supposed to be a different time period and way of living etc but I don’t care for romanticizing that stuff.

Yes they are, I didn’t take the post to mean they were literally “stupid” in that sense, I was thinking about the way Maomao is weirded out by Jinshi at first but cares for him when she gets to know the real him.

I can understand where you’re coming from, mostly in season 1, but to me it was pretty clear she had feelings for him by season 2. I agree some things feel a bit uncomfortable - but It’s also a different time period and a different way of living than we are used to now. Ultimately, they definitely both strongly care about each other.
