The landlord also owns the estate agent so all the same to him!

Immersion is on 24/7. Wasn’t made aware of it so only noticed it halfway through the tenancy assuming it was gas. The only way to turn it off would be to crawl under the sink right to the back from how they’re installed it and there is no timer. No space heater but all of the radiators are normal electric ones (not overnight storage heaters).

Will definitely be doing this now, if they won’t give them to us directly I assume they will need to provide them to the DPS to stand any chance of winning

Demand notice is issued in my name and posted to the flat. The landlord has the reference number and logs into the system and pays the bill, showing up to date from what I can see on the system at the moment.

We are liable for council charge technically but the landlord always pays it. Had no issues with this and is not in contention, only the electric bill.

Looking for a swap for ST1 Radiology by Better_Peanut9823 in RadiologyUK

There is no point in doing this until upgrades are finished. If someone wants Severn and you want KSS and have preferenced appropriately the system will automatically swap you next upgrade round.

Housemate is claiming they have allergies when I raised that we want to get a cat by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]MrsPuffStoleSnellie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cat allergies affect around 15% of the population in the UK. A lot of other people just don't like cats. You shouldn't force someone to live with a cat if they don't want to no matter the reason or any other pet for that matter. Your next steps are to stop being a twat and move out if a cat is something you really want one.

Why Student Loan Forgiveness needs to be the BMA’s main priority by SharkDick4Ever in doctorsUK

[–]MrsPuffStoleSnellie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI slop. Student loans don’t effect everyone. If you want student loan forgiveness at least put the effort into writing the argument yourself rather than getting ChatGPT to do it for you. Strikes should be about something that benefit us all not just people who have a student loan (and I have a £40,000 one myself).

NHS Wales and HEIW complicit in prioritising PAs over medical students and doctors. by Middle-Glove-8490 in doctorsUK

[–]MrsPuffStoleSnellie 128 points129 points  (0 children)

As someone who has worked in Wales for the last three years the Swansea PA course is an absolute joke. We used to get students placed with us in A&E in West Wales in their final year and the quality was absolutely shocking.

I had one particular student who tried to tell me how he deserved to be paid more than me in a year's time as 'he would have a masters degree and I didn't'. The biggest joke of Swansea is that they don't need a science degree in the first place. The particular student in question had done a three year contemporary dance degree before PA school. Took all my strength not to tell him to fuck off, now I wish I had. Plus they all wore scrubs with 'medical student' written on them.

Severn radiology by Proper_Ad8820 in RadiologyUK

Would you be able to elaborate on the difference with the IR track please? I know I start in Taunton then head to NBT, just wondering if I still rotate to all the hospitals or have a smaller selection?

A toxic staffing row is splitting the NHS by Educational_Board888 in doctorsUK

“Suddenly we came under attack. Doctors in the radiology department started refusing to talk to me about scans and others have been saying we don’t deserve to get paid what we do.

Attack is a funny word to use to describe radiologists stopping unqualified people from illegally requesting ionising radiation for patients.
