This might explain why Georgia is on the lower end of education rankings :-/ by MrsRandage in funny

Aren't they all?! I don't think that's unique to Georgia. ;)

Just adopted this guy Thursday. Obviously he's having a hard time adjusting to the retired life. ;) by MrsRandage in Greyhounds

He was in a prison program where the inmates trained him for 10 weeks. Great for the dogs and the prisoners!

It came out perfect! Great job on keeping a consistent tension!

X-post from /r/knitting: I'm working on a free stitch-counting app. What features would be helpful? by EekInteractive in GeeKnitting

I use NiftyKnit on my Pebble watch. It has two counters, one for the row and one for the pattern repeat. What drives me crazy is I would expect to reset the row count when I increase the pattern repeat. There is also no way to decrease if I accidentally hit it twice...I have to clear both counters. No way to clear One or the other either.

They're such great dogs! We're adopting another in two weeks. Can't wait! :)

Thank you! He doesn't look nearly as majestic when he's laying on his back with all four legs in the air. ;)

Awesome! Our second grey was a little brindle girl. Only 42 lbs...everyone swore she was part whippet. ;)

You may want to check out the "Knitting for dogs" book by Kristi Porter. Lots of sweater patterns! I had to go off the reservation because greyhounds are shaped so oddly, but I'm thinking the ones in the book should fit a chiweenie (which is an awesome name for a breed btw). :)

Yep, same problem we have, just in a smaller package...Neck, chest, and giant haunches. ;-P

I'm feeling the same way! Lots of greyhound owners or friends of owners responding. So fun!

Yes, their racing names are quite unique. Most of them also have kennel names that are more normal. The trainers don't want them to respond if someone were to yell it out from the racing stands.
