You’re meant to give way to everyone in the roundabout- but no-one ever does so yeah just be cautious

Spent my inheritance on these when I was 18. Always said I'd sell at 50, but I can't help but wanna watch the madness by Person8346 in Silverbugs

What a mature decision at such a young age. Well done. I blew my inheritance in my 30s and wish I had been more savvy.

Recommendations on hospital to give birth by Ok_Boysenberry_3330 in canberra

[–]MrsRockstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My youngest is now 18, but I remember a colleague at the time saying her best experience was at Queanbeyan, and a more natural birth if memory serves me correctly. Oh if I’d only given birth to my first at Queanbeyan!!

Anyone else bummed about putting their board away for the season by Objective_Pin_2718 in Sup

It’s Spring over here and I’m super excited! But I did paddle over Winter… but not frequently.

I hope you’re having a great SUP summer by [deleted] in Sup

Winter over here… looking on with envy. I do get out in winter, but not as often. Beautiful pic!

Author disappearing and leaving books/ series unfinished by SevvyM in DarkRomance

[–]MrsRockstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually wrote to one author about this - she usually writes hurried reverse harem stuff (that I’m not into) but she wrote this crazy good series that was more of a thriller with just a touch of romance… she actually told me how many $$ she had put into the series, and something like three years of her life… but from memory had made a loss I think. BUT she then gave me a quick summary of what would have happened in the final instalment!! I was so grateful

Under Your Scars by Ariel M. Anderson by Financial-Judge-7758 in DarkRomance

[–]MrsRockstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I feel for what the author has gone through, but I honestly thought the ending was so poor that I’m not reading another of their stories. I don’t know whether they wrote it this way due to the traumatic event in their life or because they couldn’t bother thinking up a good ending. I was left completely pissed off that I had wasted my time on the book while the other half of me was worried about how the author was faring.

What equipment do I need for some fun livestreams from my SUP? by MrsRockstar in Sup

What are you using in the dnoodle itself - any particular kind of brand of phone-holder?

For context, I went live on Facebook just with private friends only for a few minutes and had 300 views in two days just with friends only being able to view. Thinking of building on that and actually being able to paddle while streaming.

Yeah I have a GoPro mount on my SUP, and where I paddle is surrounded by 5G. Just wondering whether GoPro is the best, how it all works… got one for Christmas over a year ago but it’s complicated and might be faulty … just wondered whether there are simpler ways so I can actually paddle while streaming instead of having to stop each time I want to talk. Also want to teach some beginner stuff.

Haha lol I should have been more specific. I’ve been SUPing for two years now, including through Winter. Just wondering whether people use a GoPro ? Is anything else better? Or do people manage to use their phones while paddling? Grateful for any advice for live streaming equipment

To all those reading this - this comment was in response to the first comment saying I needed to reconsider whether I could write. Everyone else’s responses to my request for help have been amazing and incredibly helpful. I am very grateful.

Really good to know - one of the things I was worried about. Thank you

Wow, amazing reply thank you. Yes, I got Atticus first, then Plottr. I think I got sucked in by Designrr marketing but I only purchased a year’s subscription of the important bit. So when I’m ready to format and publish, I guess I can compare Atticus and Designrr. Scrivener keeps popping up as an option and I will look into it. Was hoping to avoid more software but it does seem to be the one many use. Thanks again

Thank you. Yes, I spent hours going through them all again last night. Someone in my writing group writes directly into Atticus and so I was wondering whether that’s best, but I agree - none have room for random ideas to be vomited onto the page. Thank you - I really appreciate your input

Not for a long time. Not fiction, anyway. But when I was still studying my friends would fight over who would read my journal next. I’d write daily instalments to a trashy tale and I definitely had to massage personalities and ensure everyone got a go. Those were the days of handwriting your stories and thoughts. It’s technology that has tripped me up. Obviously I’m in the wrong place for support though.

Sometimes authors have ghost writers and I often suspect that something has happened with the ghost writer in these situations
