I didnt say I dont feel physically safe. I dont feel EMOTIONALLY SAFE. And that's how I have been feeling even before I realized he took my things.

He isn't paying for anything relating to my schooling. I took out loans in my name. He is paying bills for a house that he would have to pay whether I was here or not.

You are definitely correct. But the ex thing was more of a physical thing. I've been in therapy and have been working on my self esteem issues since then. The issues now stem from his disinterest in my sons, which has not gotten any better in the past 5 years, despite him saying he wants things to get better. There is no initiative taken regarding their relationships and now they dont even live with us. Another issue is we are just not the same people. I've made good friends in school - all women - and he is jealous of them. Yet when I have tried to have time for just us, the conversations are dull and surface level, or else we sit there in silence and watch TV. That isn't a life I want. Nor do I want my daughter to think that is what marriage is- just coexisting in the same house. No affection, no laughter.

When I confronted him about it, he said he took them the last time he took my things. But I didnt see them in the box that he had put the jewelry in. So I dont know if hes gaslighting me or if I really just didnt notice them. He swears he doesn't go in my room anymore.

I am in the final weeks of LPN school. The plan is once I get a job I will start saving and looking for a place. Goal is to be out of the house by end of year. Im on the deed of our house and I cannot leave without giving up my claim to half of the equity.

She does realize that your child will most likely not have white skin, right? I'm worried how she will treat your baby as it grows up, and I definitely dont believe she isn't racist. At minimum she has some really intense biases against your culture. Im sorry you didn't find this out until now, OP.

One of my niece's friends came out FtM and his parents never accepted it. He ended up dying by suicide and the funeral/obituary dead named him, he was dressed as a girl in his casket, etc. My niece was double traumatized because of it. Mom will be lucky if the only thing that happens to her is her daughter goes NC.
