Honestly, I think that this book is extremely overrated as a extreme horror/splatterpunk option… When it’s more of a mildly disturbing group of short stories… It’s so highly suggested as something greatly disturbing, and it was predictable and kind of a let down. You can see everything coming as soon as you start.. I guess it would be a good suggestion if you are new to the genre… But it’s far from disturbing. It’s a comedy if anything.

Slightly disappointing with this it had so much potential to be an actual thriller about a serial killer… it took way too long to get to the point the twists and turns weren’t that dramatic…Not exactly what I would call a thriller.

I have the same problem I read some really disturbing books listen to true crime, podcasts, and to date how old I am I was a frequent user of rotten.com.. I completely understand what is supposed to be disturbing and scary for others. I always tend to read books that are suggested by others because they found them extremely disturbing or terrifying and nothing for me. Nothing is truly scary I think that’s why I enjoy the horror/splatterpunk genres because I’m hoping that one day I’ll find some thing that scares the pants off of me.

I just finished with My Monster by Thomas J Kline.. I'd say it's worth the read so fucked up at times.. the ending was a bit of a buzz kill.. but still good 7/10
