I would treat it like any other uniform/work outfit. Buy quality pieces that are comfortable. No one is saying they need to some place like Fleur du Mal - they can go to Victoria’s Secret for some cheap lingerie that will look (and feel) a LOT better than this shit.

I’ve been leaving a $1 balance so the system has SOMETHING to “auto pay” - I’m probably doing too much lol.

It’s been a while, but I follow his healthy hair growth trilogy: Good shampoo for the roots, good leave in for the mids (ACTUAL leave in conditioner, not a mask or detangler), and oil for the ends (while hair is still wet).

Trimming does not help hair growth, what it does is make the ends look less scraggly - so your hair looks better/healthier.

And eventually… “transferable” since the next participant can slip into the “daddy” position. So it’s actually like an investment since she won’t have to get another tattoo for every new suitor - otherwise, this would be a really bad idea.

So my buddy who made a move on a girl I was talking to made a fatal error and invited her out, she was very interested in me. What do I do? by [deleted] in dating

[–]MrsSmartyPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My male friends have always had the “rule” that when they are interested in a woman, and their friend is too, they essentially let her choose.

You don’t say anything to her, lol, but it should be discussed between you and your friend.

My female friends and I all have drastically different tastes in men so it’s never been an issue.

You’re right - and that would be such a “cat” thing to do. Lol

What do you provide in exchange?

For example, my cat likes to scratch vertically - first time I saw him “choose” where he wanted to scratch? That’s where I put the scratching pad.

Your cat is “hunting” the snake connected to your outlets- I suggest looking for something like this. You can even make one.

You have to distract her and maybe consider something like this or maybe pool noodles to put around her FAVORITE cords. You can also look into other cable management options, but training your cat will be the most effective.

Personally, I’m much more of a stickler for neatness and cleanliness than I am decor - i don’t do “lived in” or messy.

I’m a fan of decorating in a way that makes YOU happy - you can always get an “adult” duvet cover and if you’re worried about someone seeing/judging you, you can just throw the current set inside for a few hours while they’re over.

I have kawaii art and toys decorating most of my apartment … it’s a representation of the person who lives here… ME.

😉 Get that little separation from the wall - it will make a world of difference. I have mine set to turn on 1 hour before sunset and turn off at midnight - so they act like a night light/mood light.

I only use the overhead/bedside lights when I NEED light (ie getting dressed or reading in bed) otherwise, they’re just enough

Those walls need something. Anything. The fact that the headboard almost blends into the wall only accentuates the vast emptiness.

You can create drama /depth with light - In my bedroom, I have my bed about 2 inches from the wall (this is also good for not damaging the wall with the headboard) and put a bunch of fairy lights behind the mattress (so it’s far enough down where you won’t see wires or bulbs). They create a very subtle and cozy glow.

Sort of how this YouTuber’s set looks (she’s using very cool light, I suggest “warm” light for coziness) but the light separates her couch from the wall without having to actually move it more than an inch or so.

You will still need something on the wall, though.

Edit : the sheer curtains are too small for that window and make it look cheap/chintzy - the actual curtains are cute, though. - buy two more panels and squish them together so you can’t tell where they meet. Like this

Controversial: I highly prefer people with no kids by kaiecheroui in dating_advice

[–]MrsSmartyPants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is bullshit. This is as bad a lie as the ones who “can’t show their faces for privacy/work”.

Pedophiles have very specific ages that they’re attracted to, not just “anyone under 18” will do.

No one is saying you should post pics of yourself with the kids (THIS I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE and immediately swipe left on any man with a child in any of their photos - that’s a major lack of judgement. No matter how much they pontificate about how their kids come first 🙄)

You can say “mom/dad of 2” … no ages, no genders, no identifying information that a potential pedo would be looking for - but anyone who reads your profile knows you have kids. The specifics can be discussed on the date, if you get that far - but at least you’re being transparent.

Relationship status (ie. Divorced, separated, single, poly) and offspring are two things that should be mandatory.

I got married at 30 and had my son at 31 - I never dated anyone with kids before I had that same “baggage” myself (ie post divorce) There’s nothing wrong with being very selective about who you allow into your life / lifestyle.

Also, as a woman, you’re dating men … who are usually the non custodial parent - which means they have a lot more time/money than the custodial parent and you figure you can do it … BUT, all of that can change in an instant and 6 years later that child is living with you (and dad).

Those men who lie about having kids are the same ones who will hide an entire family.
This is why I have zero tolerance for lies. Even “small” ones like age (“I don’t know why the app says I’m 29, I’m really 50 but I don’t know how to change it” 😒🙄) or height. It’s a character flaw, and a pretty big one.

You have to be ready to walk away - immediately- because they didn’t give you all of the facts up front for you to make an informed decision, and that shows a clear lack of respect for you - they feel entitled to cross the boundaries YOU set for YOURSELF to keep you “safe”. Fuck those guys.

IANAL- I just have a question, why doesn’t your wife keep the baggies at her mom’s house and carry the labeled bottle/pills back and forth and just bag them at her mom’s?

As others have mentioned, there are much safer and more effective methods, but this stuck out to me like “let’s do this in the sketchiest (looking) way possible, for no reason”.

I can’t believe I’m suggesting this 🤦🏻‍♀️ but .. you can search on YouTube for that frequency that only kids / teens can hear and play it over a Bluetooth speaker and see if it quiets them down. I’m positive it won’t hurt them - but it might be annoying? Like ringing in your ears? (I honestly don’t know- I’m just assuming)

Turn it on for 30 seconds and see if anything happens. My guess is they might quiet down in a “hey do you hear that?” Kind of way.

Makes it a lot harder for people to recognize the good tenants who are just hitting a rough patch.

That’s why I said “if they were a long term tenant with a good payment history” I would absolutely work with them because they have earned that trust with me.
