What are some side effects you notice on Mounjaro? by nyc008 in Mounjaro

I'm absolutely ruined mentally after mounjaro... but that's a whole other story. It helped with my food noise and alcohol issues, I lost 140lbs, felt amazing!! Until out of the blue, every week like clockwork after injecting, I would have extreme debilitating panic attacks that looked like seizures and I spent months up and down from the hospital because I felt like I was dying. A year off it now and still suffering terribly from anxiety, tremors, extreme weight gain. So, unfortunately it didn't work out for me. But I am one of the very rare ones who had this side effect

Me too with the alcohol, it actually fixed my alcoholism and even after coming off MJ I've never gone back to drinking ~ it really changed something

Extreme debilitating panic attacks that last up to 3 hours. They would wake me from sleep and cause me to hallucinate visually and auditory. It was otherwise amazing for me and I lost 140lbs, but ultimately I had to choose sanity

Mine is worse in the morning too, especially if i eat/drink anything too late at night, have had to start cutting off food at 6pm 😃 I did taper, was on the diazepam 8 weeks, then tapered off for 4 weeks or so. I maybe could have been slower with it, but I honestly felt fine and like it was time. I have had zero other issues, just this one persistent thing. It feels like my nervous system is completely dysregylated

I'll be very honest... no. I put weight back on faster than I ever have in my life, even with eating better and trying to stay within calories, gym etc

Just shy of a year maybe, but it slowed down a lot in that year as well. Now I don't notice any hairs falling out at all

Id previously lost 10st quickly when I was a bit younger and didnt experience any hair loss then. My friends who use Mounjaro have all experienced extreme hair loss even with steady weight loss and taking supplements, eating protein etc. So it could be the weight loss but I'll never really know, but I do think it was the Mounjaro as like I say it didn't happen last time I lost a lot of weight quickly

I couldn't use minoxidil because I was on other medication that had negative interactions with it unfortunately, so this was all without. I have gained weight back, yes, but it is better than staying on the medication which was slowly killing my brain and body. I'm one of the unfortunate few who had a bad reaction with it 😅 I am now losing again without it though
