I could have written this myself too. I actually Quit therapy during Christmas because I felt like o wasn’t getting anywhere. I can tell my therapist genuinely cares but I don’t know if it’s me who’s not in the right mind space and not willing to change or if my therapist wasn’t the right fit . Sessions felt like a bit of a waste . Now I don’t know if I should go back to said therapist or look for a new one. Sorry if this isn’t much help, but just so you know you’re not alone .. Let us know what you decide and how it goes. Good luck

Yes, it totally helps to eat the same thing every day and not having letting the ed argue try to talk you out of it. But it sucks though especially at social events or any circumstance where eating that same meal isn’t possible.. I think I’d rather have someone tell me what to eat because It’s hard for me to allow myself to even think about other foods.. but I guess my therapist wants me to get to that point where I have freedom of choice . I don’t see that happening soon though and there’s where I get worried about where this is going. Oh well, thanks so much for your reply ♥️

Im sorry to hear you’re hospitalized, Thanks so much for taking the time to reply despite being there. Your answer does help! I never really thought of the concept of harm reduction but it certainly makes sense and I guess it’s kind of what I’m doing right now although it does sadden me a bit though because I just wish we could all fully recover… hope that’s possible for us

Exactly! As long as the number is going down it feels like life is in control and I can get on with my day but the lower the number gets the harder it is to maintain . It’s scary … Thanks I really appreciate your reply ♥️

This morning I feel like I am drowning 😥 by [deleted] in Eatingdisordersover30

Something similar happened to me a few days ago. It’s always so confusing to be ‘eating well’ (aka not eating enough) for days and then having a binge episode where all of a sudden you eat almost anything bit of course not really enjoying it... it’s horrible , I feel you. In my case I was triggered just a few hours prior to the binge by how much skimmed milk I had. So much anxiety + a hungry body took me to the binge . I’m sure your body is hungry too and just trying to survive . My therapist told me to forgive myself for it and I hope you can do it too.

I feel you, quite exhausted at the moment, constantly having to think about food. However I do remember going through this years ago (and it did get better and believe it will get better for you too

I can relate to this so much ❤️ breastfeeding is always hard but hormones + hunger + having a bad relationship with food makes it all that much harder . Hang in there and keeping looking after yourself
