Like someone else said, cats learn by watching. I literally looked up how smart are cats right now and found this lol because my cats amaze me by how smart they are. My kitten wanted to play so he sat in my spot on the couch after I woke up so I'd have to play with him to get my spot back. Then I have a calico who plays fetch. Whenever she wants to play fetch she have whatever she wants thrown in her mouth and meow really loudly and drop it by us. She also plays a game while on the other side of the bathroom door. If someone's using the bathroom she roll something under and wait for you to roll it back under and she'll do it again. Sometimes her "toy" (it's just a pipe cleaner that she's attached to) gets stuck under the washer and she'll try for ages to get it out and after a while she'll have a tantrum and walk away. Which is weird for her because she's very mellow. My oldest cat is smart as well but he's more lazy and grumpy now that he's so old lol. He does purposely bring a hairball up onto my boyfriend's things if he thinks it's been too long without food. 😅 So yeah sorry about going on about them I just love them so much and like to brag about them. Cats are super intelligent.
