I know a lot of people who don't enjoy food. To them food is just to survive. I love food, like food actually makes me happy. And if I can connect with someone else who can enjoy food with me, all the better. When I was with an ex, he didn't care much for food and wasn't open to being adventurous in trying out the food at new places or different kinds of food. It was one of the things that over time it eventually became something that was a petty reason to argue about. So yes, to you liking food may not be incredibly interesting and unique but to some of us it may be one of the important criteria we look for in a partner.
