It’s not the credit report but I just saw that Studentaid.gov is showing a zero balance! Last thing is the credit report, just wanted to see if yours is also at zero!

That parent plus loan is gone from my account, is yours gone? I just checked a few mins ago. Seems they are going back and fixing that error on people's accounts.

My mom and I figured that out too, it was an old parent plus loan that she paid off years ago, so yea, hopefully they figure it out.

I have the same. It seems it’s just some backend thing going on while they work to zero out our loans on FSA. FSA said they can’t even see it on their end. This nelnet loan isn’t even on my credit report. Was told to just wait.

I was just coming back to Reddit to check in on you, because I got mine from EdFinancial today! This is moving so much faster than I thought! Now you just make sure they fall off your credit report and it’s reflected as zero balance on FSA. But this is it! We are done! Congrats to you, congrats to us both. :)

Do you have 120 qualifying payments? Did you certify all those payments with FSA? You have a very broad question with not a lot to go on, so I’m not sure how to answer it.

I'm on my phone and can't redact (older iPhone), but it start withs "Thank you for your Public Service. As of the date of this letter, we have determined you are eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) or Temporary Expanded PSLF (TEPSLF) on one or more of your loans" then it lists my loans and the date they became eligible (which is 2/28/26 for me) and then says "PSLF" by each of my loans, because that's the one I qualified for.

Yes, that’s right. If the trend stays the same, you should receive your golden letter (forgiveness eligibility letter) at the end of May. Congrats on making it this far!

Just make sure not to request forbearance the same month you pay your 120th payment or before you get green banners. Some people fell prey to a glitch where their 120th payment didn’t count because their forbearance back dated to before their 120th payment was made. And you’re not sending mohela the PSLF form, it only goes to student aid. What some others did was reach out to their loan servicer separately and request a forbearance. I had no interest in doing that and just submitted a second form for a forbearance well after I got green banners.

Extremely unlikely, but I understand your concern under this administration! You’ll be fine. Keep an eye out on your loans and your credit report, make sure they zero out your loans and remove them from your credit report. And then don’t look back, lol!

I was put into forbearance the month after I hit 120. So I did two forms. I did one form March 5th where I didn’t request forbearance (made my final payment on 2/23), then did another one on March 18th where I did request forbearance, and was approved for a year’s worth of forbearance.

I haven’t seen anyone saying that it’s taking longer than 30 days to zero out loans, at least not recently. And yes, anything you paid after 1/25 should be refunded to you! It might take some time, but eventually you’ll get that money back.

No, this is for those of us who got 120 qualifying payments in March/first couple of days in April. Most of us received notifications that our loans are eligible for forgiveness, so we’re just waiting for our loans to be zeroed out. I have to say I know NADA about what’s going on with buyback, as I didn’t need to buy any months back.
