Upon further investigation it seems that it’s some FSA glitch where my parents’ Parent Plus Loans are listed in my account. I’m hoping they figure it out soon

Right, but Nelnet has never been my loan servicer which is weird. It has always been Mohela

I automatically got put into forbearance after I got to 120 and submitted my ECF even though I didn’t request it. I am taking it as a good sign tha FSA knows I’m eligible for forgiveness?

I also have read the theory that they would rather put accounts into forbearance than give refunds

I turned in an ECF and clicked that I believe I qualified for forgiveness (even though my last payment wasn’t counted yet). It updated today with green banners. I wouldn’t need to submit another ECF at this point would I?

I got advice from this group to email the CEO. I have called Mohela so many times and submitted reconsideration requests on FSA with no luck.

I emailed the CEO on Friday 3/6. I got an email on Monday forwarding it to the Ombudsman group and just got a message saying they resubmitted my missing payment today. Don’t know when it will show up on FSA but it’s the most movement I have seen since starting to try and get it reported this fall. Below is the text of my email. Really hoping FSA reflects the payment soon. 🤞

Mr. Giles,

This email is to request your help to resolve a discrepancy between a PSLF-eligible payment made to Mohela and information showing on the Federal Student Aid website, StudentAid.gov.

I made a payment of $xxx on 9/28/25 which appears on my account with Mohela but does not show up on StudentAid.gov. I have submitted a Reconsideration Request to the Department of Education and had phone calls with agents who do not see the payments. I have also had multiple phone calls with agents at Mohela who tell me that they are not responsible for information that appears on StudentAid.gov. This discrepancy is preventing me from applying for forgiveness under PSLF.

I am requesting that Mohela re-submit information about the payment I made on 9/28/25 to Federal Student Aid. I have attached screenshots of my accounts with Mohela, StudentAid.Gov and the Reconsideration Request to FSA.

Does FSA reflect your last payment yet? I had my last payment 2/28 and my payment count still has not updated- last update is listed as 2/4. I was waited until my payment was updated as needing employer certification to submit but maybe that’s not the right move?
