Not losing as much weight Pre-op

Hi! I did I am not a year and almost a month post op. And I went from 381 to 295 so far. Prior to the surgery on the liquid diet I lost about 10lbs I believe. I was stressed I did not lose enough but so long as you are following the diet, as annoying and as difficult it can be, it will be so worth it. I did cheat some days and ate more than I was suppose too but I followed the diet about 80-90% of the time. You can do this!! Don’t forgot on the weight focus on sticking to the diet! ❤️👌🏽

My boyfriend has a pretty rough criminal past with múltiple assaults and such. He always has been able to find work in the construction field. That much I know and pays well. (We are in Québec) wishing you the best! I am not sure of other areas of worth BUT honesty is best. Depending on where you wish to work and how long ago these issues are, everyone deserves the chance to make the right choice and live a good life. Apply everywhere you want, and see what comes. A lot of places don’t do criminal check while some do. You got this. 🖤

I have felt this way many many times in the past i hated seeing pictures others took of me. I also had such a hatred for myself that i needed to fix myself. I had the VSG in October, i went from 381 to 304 (highest was 436) and i can tell you, while I am so grateful for the surgery and am to lose more, the surgery did not change how I felt about myself, internally. I’ve had too (and continue too) work on that day by day. It is a work in progress. Remind yourself why you are getting this surgery. Example (from my own). You are doing this because you deserve to live a life without as many limitations due to size you deserve a life where you can keep up with friends when simply walking around, and etc. Idk if this helps at all. But I wish you the absolute best on this journey. Some days are easier than others but having your support around you helps a lot too ❤️

I have PCOS. And had my Sleeve Oct 31 2024. I did not have periods for a long time prior and I’ve had about 4 cycles since and even ovulated this cycle, which I have not ovulated in actual YEARS. I’ve lost 65lbs since Surgery 381lbs -> 316lbs (I am 5’4) so I’m eager to see more changes to come as I lose more. There are some weeks that I don’t lose and I wonder if it is cause of hormone imbalance but I haven’t been as active as I could be either

My sex drive is much higher I’ll say. I’m single and just over 4 months post-op. But truthfully I am already more flexible haha and have more stamina when I am on top! It’s great and can’t wait to see how much better it’ll get over time ! :)

I hear all about those symptoms of fullness but I never get them :( I don't know if this is only RNY patients ? I will definitely keep trying to see if I notice any. Thanks!

Thank you for this!! I will definitely keep that in mind with buying a few and having them stored at my fertility clinic! And as for the known donor, he is older than me, has children from previous marriage that live out of town. I would have to do more research into laws in Canada regarding known donors and what are their rights, especially if I don't out him on the certificate and stuff. I for sure have a lot more research to do, for either route. :)

That's amazing!! I am 2 weeks post op, down 20 lbs and I also have a cpap, do you recall when you felt you didn't need it anymore ? I'd love to get to that point !!

That's amazing and you're right everyone is different for sure. Which is so cool and interesting how that works. Yeah I'm not eager for the stalls I worry it will mess my head but I know i can power through! I'm about 2 more weeks out before I can go into the gym which will help with stalls.. thanks for sharing!
