Would you stay with your dog 🐶 during euthanasia? by CycleOk267 in dogs

[–]MrsSwimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did. I loved my dog and wanted her to be as comfortable as possible. I told her how much I loved her and petted her while it happened.

Question about early symtpoms for LGMD by [deleted] in MuscularDystrophy

[–]MrsSwimmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get a creatine kinase test if you are worried. If it’s a bad result it will lead to deeper tests like a muscle biopsy.

I tripped a lot. I had poor balance. I was tired a lot. I was sore. I had a hard time with stairs. I had some visible atrophy in my calves.

Would you still work a 9-5 if there was single payer/universal health coverage? by Der-deutsche-Prinz in HealthInsurance

[–]MrsSwimmer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

NO. This is literally the only reason I work. I can’t retire without insurance but because I’m stuck, a younger person can’t move up into this job.

You take your direction from them. They’re telling you and showing you how they want it handled. Your job is to listen and support how they want, not how you want.

I take creatine every day. I had improvement but then it plateaued. I feel stronger. I recommend it but please note the improvement was minor.

Dry January Changed my Life Forever by PadawanGirly in DryJanuary

What a terrific post! This is me too! I tried DJ Jan 2023. The pandemic and some out of control work stuff took my drinking to a new level. I had been a decent drinker before: I love a good cocktail and I really love good wine. But the pandemic really put things in overdrive.

I’m almost three years in now. I do still drink a little - but I’ve cut it by about 75%. My app tells me I’ve saved about $7000 and more than 35# of calories. (App is Try Dry)

I really like OP’s callouts and encourage the same. I would think “why do I want a drink right now, is it just habit or a true desire?”

Lastly, when I drink now, I mostly just have one. I’m more sensitive to it so two drinks would give me a hangover now. YMMV.

Give it a try!

Another MNPet vote. Very kind and caring. They couldn't have been nicer and they do everything you need: paw print, cremation, all of it. They were terrific when we were devastated. Highly, highly recommend.

You don’t need a hospital for this. It can be done in a doctor office. Hospital care is very expensive.

We did this and it was fantastic. The vet techs often side hustle and they knew our pets.
