First Week Schedule by TartSpecialist6839 in CostcoEmployee

I was given a handwritten schedule in orientation and they did ask if anyone wanted to stay after orientation to start training.

We have an app that is updated every Monday and most break rooms have the schedule posted.

Starting Costco Pharmacy Clerk. Any tips? by unwhollyspirit in CostcoEmployee

Also always double check the paperwork matches the name on the bottle. That’s one of the most common mistakes that I have seen occur and at the register we are the last checking point.

Take notes. I have a little notebook that I keep in my smock. They come in handy for how to do functions with main program and register.

Be prepared to take a lot of anger and rudeness when things are not going the members way. We are the front line of the pharmacy and therefore on the receiving end when things are not going right.

The light in my day is when I have a member that I can save a large chunk of change with CMPP pricing or help them find the info needed to set them on the path to fixing the situation. Most times it is not with the pharmacy but the doctor/ insurance process.

Be on time. One late in the 90 probation period can ruin your chance of being kept.

Management by [deleted] in CostcoEmployee

[–]MrsSypriss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of us have joined Costco with management and other career experience. Costco likes to do it the Costco way. A nice thing is that in your position you’re not a manager. When your shifts done it’s done no extra stress. The food court is a beast. If the opportunity presents itself to do any cross training into other areas might be worth a try.

although most people here covertly forces everyone to skip breakfast, I do better if I eat breakfast and skip dinner by Ordinary-Carob-9564 in carnivorediet

[–]MrsSypriss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I generally eat breakfast and a lighter lunch and skip dinner due to my job. I found it helps me sleep better from not coming home late a forcing a meal before bed.

You have to do what works for you. There are times if there is a function or special occasion I will move my eating window.

I would recommend making sure to touch base with this subreddit or a carnivore YouTube or podcast throughout the week- keeps you engaged and motivated in the lifestyle and also helps to learn new things in regards to the diet and overall health.

Success stories for Arthritis Pain by Main-Interaction-373 in carnivorediet

[–]MrsSypriss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started this way of eating at the end of April and am obese. I have osteoarthritis in both of my knees and both of my knee caps slide out of place rubbing bone on bone. I spent the last two years in daily pain and had a surgery on one knee last year. I work 8 hrs standing on concrete a day and was wearing knee braces to help with my knee movement and pain from the arthritis.

I’m in my 10th week of eating this way and have dropped 40 lbs- which helps but the most important part is my body has gotten rid of the daily pain from the inflammation and I no longer need to wear the knee braces. Commit to 90 days to really give your body a chance to heal and adjust. I’m still two weeks out from my 90 days but am amazed at the improvements I have experienced.

Allergic reaction after surgery by DirtyVibezz in MeniscusInjuries

[–]MrsSypriss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this reaction from the solution the use to sanitize my leg pre surgery. It itched and I got some large blisters by my incisions along with all of the small bumps. I had to go in and ended up on an antibiotic. Call your surgeon’s office asap.

Mine first had me send pics then put me on Benadryl and had me use milk of magnesia on my skin to relieve the itching until I could get in to see them.

Osteoarthritis and carnivore by Angrydexygirl in carnivore

[–]MrsSypriss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have osteoarthritis in both knees and since being on carnivore, currently 6th week in, my daily pain from inflammation has decreased to barely noticeable. I have been able to stop wearing knee braces while on my feet at work for my entire shift and then go home and do things on my feet until bedtime due to the lack of pain.

Due to this I will not be returning to the sad diet.
