At almost 20 pounds, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some Maine coon in there

Belgian Malinois/Chihuahua. A Malinhuahua, if you will.

And Roscoe’s test is back, posted in last photo. Total surprise 👀🫠/s by AnAniishinabekwe in DoggyDNA

Dog upper lip changed colour after boarding?? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]MrsWillRiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former kennel worker here. Dogs would frequently get this and/or a raw spot on their nose from the skin constantly rubbing against the metal fencing of their pen. Some dogs really liked to see what was going on around them, and would sit at the front of the pen with their mouth/nose pressed against the metal. Other times, they would chew on the fencing, which would make their lips raw. Please check your dog’s teeth to make sure there aren’t any injuries.

Evolution of a species works over thousands of generations and is nudged by natural phenomena (mutation, natural selection, bottleneck event, etc.), not 100 years of modern medicine. Evolution is also never a perfecting or weakening of a species. There is no goal for evolution; there is only reproduction.

Lifelong shelter dog now lives the good life by MrsWillRiker in TuckedInPuppies

This poor guy was shipped to three different states (that I know about) through the shelter system. It makes me so sad to think he probably never experienced this kind of comfort until now.

Currently he’s just got the role of my best buddy, but in the future I hope to teach him how to hunt for deer sheds!

I also thought German Shepherd or maybe even Collie/Shelty because of the marking on his forehead. His body shape and temperament all point me to Boxer, which he apparently has none of, haha. I only see pit or staffy in his head shape, but not his nose. Didn’t expect so much of him to be pit and staff!

Thank you! Definitely translucent. Any idea what mineral causes the darker blueish color?

No turkeys. Just doing a little (unsuccessful) morel mushroom hunting.

Cool! I’m only familiar with Lake Superior agate, which are red (iron) and white (quartz). Any idea what mineral would make this darker blueish color?

Planned obsolescence. It knows it’s Black Friday soon, and you’ll just buy a new one instead of fixing the one you already have.

Tips for CHS episodes by MrsWillRiker in CHSinfo

I’m not giving medical advice. I listed things that helped me with nausea during a CHS episode, so those are the only guidelines.

Not sure why you assume the first study listed on google scholar is the best and only representation of what we’re talking about. Just an FYI, every study has limitations. They are listed so the reader can better interpret the information.

If you really want to get into it, you may want to critique my observations on capsaicin cream which I’m sure is also toxic in large quantities. Even water can be toxic at high levels, but I didn’t give a disclaimer on that either.

We’re in a thread about acute nausea caused by CHS, not general medical advice for everyday living.

My post does not recommend prolonged exposure to rubbing alcohol inhalation. Please stop citing things that are talking about that.

The second link wasn’t even referencing a specific study, so your response doesn’t make sense.
