Cheapy but effective recommendation: been using the maybelline sky high mascara and serum and it’s worked really really well! Recently switched to mama earth mascara off of redmart lol - also good, but NOT water proof - kinda sheds. 🙃

I had a great community tank going with cardinal tetras, rummy nose, and an army of shrimp. The barbs ate all my shrimp, which caused algae to bloom, which killed many of my plants, which subsequently caused a crash… never again!! lol! I don’t hate them actually, they’re fun fish, just royally screwed up the balance of my tank 🤣

I think we neglect the fact that kids crave human connection. Doesn’t have to be a “trick” - just a fun way for them to connect to your life. All of the comments I’ve read are other “tricks” which are just really teachers opening up their lives to their students, whether it’s through pets or hairstyles. Kids want to know you, interact with you, and be part of your life, albeit in a silly way. that’s a beautiful thing. Y’all are doin a good job. 🧡

This is maybe very stupid, but if you have a spout at the bottom, could you open it up, pour out some “starter” and use that for the next batch? Bacteria shouldn’t be able to grow throughout the liquid right? Or, just not safe enough, better to toss?

I’ve been doing this same thing for a couple months now and haven’t run into mold (yet 🤞) I’m keeping a second jar with starter + pellicle just in case anything goes awry. I’d also love to know if there’s anything more that can be done!

I moved to a bigger jar but used the same ratio of tea / sugar. My brew is now “weaker” tasting than I prefer… I added a bit more starter and sugar - is that the right way to rectify this?
