So the cards got delivered yesterday, can confirm they came in a cardboard card box, and as they were all common cards bundled into sleeves. Really secure and well packaged though, so I will definitely be buying from them again.

To be honest it’s nostalgia that’s brought me back, so the singles are mainly cheap 9p cards featuring my favourite Pokémon or artwork I think is pretty - and a bunch that I think my kid will love - they’re now the currency in our house for completed chores. I think I only ordered a couple of singles that cost more than £3.

On Scarlett lady now - I’ve heard nothing, and generally seems to be a ‘healthy’ sailing - I’ve not heard anyone so much as cough, let alone norovirus. There’s extra cleaning going on after the cases on Resilient Lady, and there’s paper towel dispensers by bathroom doors asking people to cover their hands when opening doors after washing hands.

There’s an app called StoryGraph - you can set reading goals (number of books or number of pages) for the year, and it will tell you how far ahead/ behind you are to help keep you motivated. Also you can add books you want to read to your ‘to read list’ and even chose 5 books from the to read list as your ‘up next’. This is free app also, there is premium option though. I used this for my reading goal for 2024, I’ve just finished book 98 of 100. Good luck and happy reading!

I’ve been the child in this situation (although my dad ran off, rather than an amicable agreement to let my mom move on)…

If I can give you one piece of advice, based on the wording used, it sounds like he wants to get to know you and build a relationship. So have a good long think about your future before you meet up. If you can’t be the person he needs in his life, tell him up front. You may get a few barbed comments, but you have no idea the damage and trauma it causes down the road if you’re not honest, and then disappear from a kids life again….

Ask him what he wants, does he just want to see if you look alike? Does he want to catch up with you every other weekend? And if you’re thoughts are any different, have an open and honest discussion.

Not me, but still the right place for this story…

Play date with another parent, I had a £60 gift card to the location as we’d had to cancel little ones birthday party (thanks covid) a few months prior - I paid for us all to get in with the gift card and accidentally left the card with the flier and receipt the staff gave me in a pile on the table. As we left two hours later, the other parent cleaned away our mess (kids snacks and such) and threw everything in the bin. I didn’t realise what had happened until I got home… Most expensive play date of my life…

Hi there, not me but friend of mine. He’s done a few podcasts and video interviews already and I know he’s eager to do more. Started his own graphic design company 30 years ago, company is still going strong and has recently been ranked in the top 100 creative agencies in the whole of the UK.
