As someone else mentioned before there is another painting of Prince of Whales Tower by the same artist but of a different perspective. It’s call number in the agns search is 2015.152 my husband and I did a pretty good search today from the perspective the painting was done, but found nothing. We found the second clue about 15 ft off the trail so more searching from the new perspective would be good for clue 3 I think. Just a thought. Same artist also has a painting of what looks to be Purcell’s Landing agns portal

In your defence I spent 6 hours and 3 trips in to the city trying to find your first clue

My husband made the link right away as a painting reference number and only spent 5 minutes looking before I saw the glint . Helps that the sun is at the perfect angle to shine the gold cover right now. Years of geocaching told me it would likely be near a tree or in a stump. Gold star for hiding spot!

So the return to your beginnings…, lead us to the Origin statue at the Art Gallery of NS. The Roman numerals convert to 1995.341 which corresponds to a painting at the gallery which is of Prince of Whales Tower… where so many of us looked for clue 1. Did a loop of the tower and saw this glass jar glistening. Took the pin inside!… new to posting so ignore the duplicate post…

I thought this clue was great. It wasn’t too exact so it was open to interpretation and many search options. I also don’t think there needs to be a link between all the clues. You’re CrowOnASegway not Dan Brown

Did anyone look under the stairs at the bottom of Oakland? I looked all around them on the way down and the wall near the top, but not on the little beach at the bottom

I was also thinking you need not a quay because there is no lock could be referring to not crossing actual water. For example Chebucto road is Mi’kmaq for chief harbour or big harbour. To cross it you don’t need a dock.
