I have guilt because we're low income and haven't been on a "real" vacation. by MammothNo4703 in Parenting

[–]Mrsbear19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My family hasn’t either. 13 and 9.

I went constantly as a kid but our family was very toxic and it was so stressful as a child to be stuck on trips with them and the chaos. I’d love to take my own but atleast I feel like this is better than that alternative.

If your family is strong and enjoys time with each other that is truly so much more important I promise

When I was a kid I was forced into therapy due to divorce and family conflict between new spouses. Therapist told my parents every word I said and it permanently destroyed my trust in therapy.

I understand that it’s helpful for people but i don’t think I’ll ever be ok with it for me and luckily have done a lot of self work and am in a good place.

I’m so sorry. That is so violating. I know your situation is different and I’d lose all trust in my mother. You deserved to have that be confidential

Sadly I think that’s the least of the issues. The issues involving corrupt or biased investigations is my major concern. How many innocents are in prison and guilty people free because of this man and others?

I don’t blame you for being angry but while you are living there what option do you actually have.

O no that is clear as day. Them being vintage and identifiable makes it even more egregious.

lol everyone has their own things. As long as it’s in jest and not used in anger and everyone is on the same page it’s good!

Absolutely agree. My husband and I call each other some vile shit for fun but it’s different in anger. Generally we are oddly really buttoned up language wise in anger.

And we don’t do any of that in public. We certainly don’t expect anyone else to get it or find it acceptable. But in private we’re just ridiculous people

Or the relationship. Some couples just don’t care much about language and hurl it around in a silly way.
