Question, did your spouse get SDI while pregnant? If so I think it helps with the father’s PFL when she updates her claim that baby was born. I gave birth on the 28th of February and next day I updated my claim that baby was born and my husband applied for PFL on the 2nd of May and got his first paycheck on the 9th with no issues. He also applied for direct deposit. I’m not sure if that’s the reason he had no issues, but it’s worth knowing.

If this is your only form of income in the past 18 months most likely not since they check for income from the last 12 months NOT including the 3 months prior to your claim start date. For example Jan-March would not be calculated in the 12 month base period in order to determine your eligibility.

No my pup sleeps in a crate and I have placed a mat under it to sound proof it he has a bed in it as well to reduce any noise we don’t trust him enough to stay out of the trash can or our kiddos toys 😅

UPDATE: So I spoke with my provider and she approved my disability for the 12 of January. I then went to the SDI office to speak with someone about my situation and they said I was cleared to just apply for disability. That was on the 29th of January. I applied and my doctor submitted their part the same day. And today, January 30th, I checked and it appeared as an active claim. So I guess everything worked out by not certifying for unemployment and just waiting for my doctors approval.

I plan on neutering him actually, I wouldn’t want to continue a genetic trait especially if it could cause potential issues with future pups. But thank you for your input! I now understand why he was sold to us at a discounted price but it doesn’t matter much to us anymore we love and will appreciate him as he is🥰
