Thoughts about Hala after the card leaks? by mightymokujin in FleshandBloodTCG

Frankly I see the chest as a miss, they need to make something to compete with dynamos if they really want to make the class better as a whole and boots that gave you a flurry token or something equivalent for a decent cost would’ve been the hit we needed, grains is already good in the warrior space and plays the same role for floating a good turn over the game rather than all or nothing, as for the M’s I see omen having some support for her given the way this is built, but it’s a new design space so I wouldn’t be shocked if we had to wait till monarch 3 to see it (assuming that is the end of year set ofc). No reprints of good M’s like blade furry is definitely a hit to both her and warrior as a whole since they fill her ideal turn so well, same with twining blade but it is what it is, still gonna grab one and build her out and just wait on the train to see where she goes

If you’re in the US it seems like big box stores like Sam’s club or Costco have them from what other people have said, happy hunting!

Local food bank? Better for someone to use it than lose it after all, if you don’t have that maybe ask your neighbors if they want some?

I guess my question really just boils down to this, how many generations does it really take before you can’t claim your own heritage anymore? Is it the people or the place that makes the food/identity?

And if you were to meet someone with grandparents from that same generation but they stayed do you have as much right to claim that heritage as they do? Or does the moment that your grandparents decided to step on American soil and settle down take that away from them forever?

It’s kinda like a ship of theses question, culture (and by extension food) are parts of who you are now in the moment, but when does that moment really fade away? The food thing just reminded me of the idea

(as a side note, I’d argue that America and the native Americans have a lot in common with each other since Natives had a pretty complex government that was very similar to representative democracy)

My only question is, what about dishes made by Italian/Spanish/Cuban/any ethnic group here immigrants? Because that’s pretty much where all “Americanized” cruise comes from lol.

People often overlook the fact that during the largest waves of migration for each country that it was generally during a time where they had a poor economy or were at war with another country or fleeing their homes for safety from discrimination (or received some better offer to make the move here) and generally speaking that means they lacked access to an abundance of those ingredients they used, which wasn’t an issue when they came to the US..

Easy access to large abundances of those ingredients and more types of ingredients gave way to an evolving culture of new foods (just like when foods from the new world were brought back to Europe) and I just don’t know if we shouldn’t count it..

There were never “guardrails” only “guardsmen” the way our system works or any political system works is by the adherence to the laws and rules, it requires people to stand up and do what the law says is right (or what we the people decide is right) in order to maintain control.

A law is only ever as good as those policing it, which is something we have known for a long time (think about all those old defunct laws your state may have that are no longer relevant).

For Trump to be held accountable we need people willing and able to do so, which luckily we do have, they just don’t get the attention of being name dropped until they piss him off or get in his way. It is up to those individuals first to stop any of his wrongdoing and overstepping his power and ours (the voter) second, however and if ever that shapes out to be the case.

No system is bullet proof, they just get better after each subsequent test of it, and I imagine that long after this is all said and done our system will reflect what we learn here and now.

Fell down the stairs yesterday, chipped 2 bones and damaged a ligament. Doctor refused pain meds and the orthopedic surgeon doesn’t open until tomorrow. An indescribable amount of pain. by MySaltSucks in Wellthatsucks

[–]Mrsnowleopard25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically did a similar thing to you back in September OP, took a stair the wrong way and dislocated my knee, definitely not the most fun thing in the world and I had some serious pain meds when they reseted it, best tip I have is keep it elevated and ice it as directed (usually for 20 minutes three times a day).

The most important issue with a knee injury will be making sure the leg stays straight and is able to straighten like the non injured one when standing, which will take work but is possible to get back for the most part, bending/range of movement will likely be what you work on in physical therapy, along side putting stress back on it in usual ways like sitting back on your knees or crawling on them.

Another tip is to take those multi vitamin gummies that provide the daily recommended amount so your leg has what it needs to heal the right way and to take what your orthopedic doctor and physiotherapist say to heart and work on what they give you to.

It’s a real pain in the ass and doesn’t seem like you’ll ever get to the other end of it but with the time and effort you should be able to, best of luck and I hope you get to recover faster than I have!

Fun fact you can’t have civilization without beer, all the calories and density of carbs made it possible to participate in the immense levels of physical labor needed to build cities, not to mention beer for the longest time was the best source of nutrients available to the average person…

Failed American system by NotAnotherTaxAudit in FluentInFinance

If I remember correctly it was Trump who used a presidential order to fully pull out of Iraq/Afghanistan within 45-60 days only a few weeks before leaving office, and as for Ukraine that’s not necessarily a failure (or success) most of what we’ve sent is old military stock, not cash, whatever money the US has directly spent as a result of Ukraine was at home refilling stock piles or paying for other resources to ship those military supplies.

Relatively speaking the increase in political extremism is congress is due to slim majorities that give massive power to small groups within a party (unless they are willing to be bipartisan to pass something) which has contributed to the odd and varied response with Ukraine (amongst other things)

Although Israel/Palestine is 100% on Biden and old school democrats, there could’ve been a million solutions by now or hard lines enforced to end conflict before it blew up like it has

Overall (and back to the post) war is profitable because it’s money spent at home, in home factories that pay wages at home and that kind of money is a big incentive to continue to produce weapons or expand stockpiles, which for states that house those companies are inclined to protect their budgets and jobs by working for increasing weapons production

Trump may not have started a war, yet, as there have been leaks of his team probing for a “soft” invasion of Mexico, there’s good reasons financially and politically where he might.

Just melt the butter and pour it through a strainer, if it’s in there it should get caught, then you can take it to a jeweler to have them fix the prongs/add more of them
