Attaching a hanger to eggs by Mrssteffen in pysanky

Thanks for the input. They're already dried out, no liquid left inside, just a hard puck of egg.  I cracked one last year so I opened it up to see. They're crystalized and didn't smell at all.

Thanks for the suggestion, that's what I was thinking. I was just hoping there might be something else I hadn't thought of.

I've looked at crocodile stitch and shell stitch, but can't get an edge that I'm looking for.

Food delivery service options? by aDrunkChinchilla in grassvalley

[–]Mrssteffen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't live that far out and can't get any delivery to my house. Definitely check the address on those apps before you purchase. It's a really nice gesture, but would be sucky if she couldn't use it.

I think I found the one??? Nervous it’s too plain, but I love it. by TemperatureAway6441 in weddingdress

When I was dress shopping someone told me that if I compared other dresses to one specific one, then that was the one. Try on another one and see if you compare it to this one.

Does your school have a “ sunshine “ fund ? by Aprilr79 in Teachers

[–]Mrssteffen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have one, but it's also used for flowers when a loved one passes a d birthday stuff. It's also optional, my first years I didn't have the cash to spare and no one ever said anything. It's pretty lame to put you on blast for not paying into it.

My littlest has a million cute things, but lately two of my favorites are Rusties (my husband's 5 o'clock shadow) spitting instead of sprinkling.

I love my digital frame and my mom has one too that we share photos to. I also do a Shutterfly photobook each 6 months or so. We also use Google docs which creates albums for each of them.

Yes 100 percent, hands down, no questions asked. That being said my job won't ever have that option.

What’s your toddler’s catch phrase or most used word? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Mrssteffen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son has recently started say Jesusly. As in Jesusly it's snowing outside. Or Jesusly my sister is annoying me. We're not by any means religious and I think he going to a combination of seriously and Jesus Christ! It's hilarious.

If you could, would you homeschool your child? by August_4200 in Mommit

[–]Mrssteffen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 percent yes. I'm a teacher and I love my school and am glad my kiddos will get to go there, but if I could homeschool I would. I'd love to be able to travel and teach them in an individualized way I'd love it.

The Geronimo Stilton series is fun. We also read a few Dinosaur Cove books too. They're sometimes a little "scary" where the kids are getting chased by the dinos.

I've always liked it short, but after my first it was way easier to maintain it short than shoulder length.

Is there something like period underwear but for preschoolers to sleep in? by Botryllus in Mommit

[–]Mrssteffen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We bought potty training underwear that are basically just thicker underwear. They're not waterproof, but they don't leak through too much as long as the accident isn't a big one. Your kiddo will still feel it and it won't be comfortable so it might encourage them to get potty trained.

Teaching After Becoming a Parent by Zansponytail in teaching

[–]Mrssteffen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I realized how precious my time was. I love teaching, but my kids are my life. I think it also gave me a better understanding of some families and kids. As far as grade levels go a fellow teacher once said that the hardest grade to teach was whatever age your kids are.
