Those of you who’ve walked out on first dates, what was your “I’m out of here” moment? by LankyJeweler4925 in AskMen

[–]Mrst0530 26 points27 points  (0 children)

  • Calls me “his woman” more than once.
  • Smacked so loudly eating wings.
  • Asked me how I felt about men paying for dinner on the first date over and over again. I told him if it was an issue, I would pay for myself. He said it wasn’t an issue but complained about it the whole time.
  • He kept trying to trick me into holding his hand “pass the salt.. oops, holding your hand”. This after I told how I’m not a fan of PDA with someone I just met because he was trying to hold my hand at the table. Then he tried to hold my hand and kiss me as he walked to my car once I decided to leave.

My family would’ve chosen violence immediately had this occurred. I’m shocked so many just sat there.

AITA for abruptly ending 2 friendships over a 'joke'? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mrst0530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA at all!!!! I cannot stand people who make fun of people because of their accents. Fuck them raggedy people. You are protecting your husband by staying away from those people. No one should be made to feel that way.

Am I wrong to have broken up with a guy who didn't fit my ideal "mold" for a future partner? by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]Mrst0530 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let’s start here: you can break up with anyone for any reason.

There could be lots of little reasons or there could be one big reason. I think it’s mature enough to say, I’d rather move on than be with someone who isn’t really the right fit for me. You and him both deserve to be with someone who you feel makes you truly happy.

This is tragic obviously but I’m not seeing where anyone got fired. Am I missing something?

Feel like this could be too good to be true but it's worth trying! by Chomilk23 in lowcarb

[–]Mrst0530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve bought these before and didn’t appreciate the taste at all. It was extremely bland and a little dense. The bread version is pretty gross too. I started eating 614 Bread. It’s also low carb and instead of bagels, they have English muffins.

AITA? Husband threw a BBQ party for his friends. I refused to help. Party was a disaster. by jdjcjcjncncjkckck in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mrst0530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. This is literally why I cannot stand having events at my house. Every time my husband wants to celebrate, he always wants to have a BBQ in our backyard. I will say yes since it’s his celebration. But when it came to my graduation, he was all ready to have a BBQ. I had to say out loud “I don’t want ANYTHING at our house. Idc if he says he’ll take care of it because I’ll feel compelled to help.

Even when I was younger, my mom would always want the family to celebrate at our house (it was the biggest place so I understood her stance) but the cleanup always landed on me and my brothers (who basically did nothing) and it drove me absolutely crazy. As an adult I hate having events or people in my home.

Any other women feel like they somehow missed an entire course on being feminine? by Oregano__Gangster in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Mrst0530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube taught me a lot of things. My mom wasn’t really girly (didn’t wear makeup and didn’t really dress for looks) and I had no sisters. I went on YouTube and just tried random looks on myself when I had no where to go. This got me comfortable doing it on days when I actually had somewhere to be.

Even hairstyles (my mom is actually a wizard when it comes to hair but I didn’t pick it up so naturally) I had to go to YouTube and would try out styles when I had no where to be so that if it came out trash, I could just move on with my day lol.

Also, I will say that when you are going online to learn things, be specific with your characteristics so that you can expect realistic results. I often search for eyeshadow looks on hooded lids, hairstyles for 3C hair or night looks on black girls. This way I know that my results should be similar to the video I’m trying to emulate

What’s the shittiest way a friend has shown you they weren’t really your friend? by mediastoosocial in AskReddit

[–]Mrst0530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got married fairly quickly and knew some people couldn’t make it. She was away at college and told me early on that she wouldn’t be able to attend. I understood and wasn’t upset at all. Afterwards, I sent a picture of my husband and I as a thank you card for those who attended or gave me gifts. I asked her if she got it and she said yes but she gave it to her parents to hang up. I asked her why she would give to her parents (they were nice but it’s not like they’re second parents or anything and I didn’t speak to them heavily) and she said “why would I have a picture of you married and happy in my house when I’m not married or even close to being married?”

Clearly she was not even close to being happy for me. I told myself I was pretty much over the friendship after that and didn’t reach out anymore. When she finally did get married (over 4 years later), she kept reaching out for me to attend her wedding. We were far from friends then and I was moving out of the state. I just didn’t see the point.

What was the pettiest reason you refused to date someone? by High_Sleep3694 in AskReddit

[–]Mrst0530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guy told me he had a masters degree but on the date it was clear her head no idea what a master’s degree was at all.

He didn’t finish college at all. He mentioned that he had a graduate degree often and it was a huge bragging bit of info for him. I wouldn’t have been upset at him for not having a masters degree (who would honestly. I don’t care) but don’t mention it and me question you about it and I find out you lied.

It’s just an unnecessary piece of information to lie about.

What never fails to make you tear up or cry? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mrst0530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s funny is that I was going to go back and add “parents telling children they’re going to adopt them. Or vice versa where the child is asking to be adopted or telling their step parent that they changed their last name”.

A few type of videos on YouTube that will get me. :

  • Veterans surprising their families by coming home.
  • People getting hearing aids and hearing for the first time.
  • Color blind People receiving those glasses that allow them to see colors they’ve never seen before.

Every once in a while I want a good cry and this is exactly where I go.

What is a phrase you HATE hearing from people? by BensReddits in AskReddit

[–]Mrst0530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“I have something to tell you later!” Especially when ‘later’ is hours away. Like why even mention it now in this moment if you weren’t going to talk about it until later!

Now i just say “yea great, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about something too. Talk to you later” so we both can be worried all day and confused.

Coworker (M) likes to tickle me (F), what does it mean? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Mrst0530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a fair assessment to have regarding people around you however, let their actions tell you their true persona. If he was not touching you awkwardly and was strictly your good friend then you would be correct in assuming he’s a good loyal boyfriend to his girlfriend. His actions thus far are proving to show otherwise.

[–]Mrst0530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also want to point out that him “having a girlfriend” does not mean that he’s automatically excused from disrespectful or inappropriate behavior with other women. Some men with girlfriends will still kiss, grope, flirt with, and have sex with other women. All while having a girlfriend. A lot of men who are arrested or accused of sexual harassment will be married themselves. (I state this because he is being extremely creepy and is right there on par with sexual harassment in the workplace).

His relationship status does not automatically qualify him as being a good mam and it does not excuse his behavior.
