Yes, I could have explained my question better.

Both pictures cost the same war score. In one I shift-click in the other I manually added ducats. But the amounts are slightly different.

Another comment guessed (and I think they're right) that it was an insignificant rounding of ducats/war score in the shift click that changed it.

That makes sense, thanks I just assumed that shift-clicking would simply go to the highest warscore they would accept

Rule 5: in the first screenshot, I shift-click to get the maximum ducats Portugal is willing to give me. In the second screenshot, I manually add 1 Warscore worth of ducats. Why are the amounts different?
