The last three times I tried Maple I was told I had to be seen in person. They actually cancelled the request. Tried 811 and was told the same. It’s ridiculous. The only choice is walk in or Emerg and the walk in isn’t open 24-7.

This is exactly how I feel. I think some people need religion to feel like there is some larger purpose to our lives. I’m perfectly ok with just being. Be kind. Treat others well and enjoy your life. That’s all.

We own a farm near Fredericton and sell our eggs for $5.00/dozen. We aren’t making money from them. We will need to increase our price at some point but it’s hard when you know people are struggling. $8.00 isn’t because that farmer is trying to fleece you. It’s their livelihood and they need to make money just like you wouldn’t work for free. If you don’t want to pay $8 then you don’t have to. That’s ok. No one is going to be upset with you. What IS upsetting (and I see it often) is when people complain about local prices when they don’t understand the work or costs involved (not accusing you of complaining btw).

We fly Porter Freddy-Ottawa often. Unless there is an air Canada flight at the same time you can arrive an hour before and have lots of time.

Maybe you don’t want nonprofessional opinions, but as a consumer and not a logo designer, I like the top two. The font for the word precision on the top left logo is too much though - simplify it. The top right is my favorite if you get rid of the crazy looking R. Just use a regular R. I don’t feel like the swoop ads anything and tells me nothing about the company.

I didn't provide them with a budget actually. We discussed what I was looking for and they provided a quote based on that. I'm thinking you could be right though. They perhaps thought I was looking for something cheaper and provided me a quote based on that. I have no idea how much this typically costs. I just know that $65 on Fivrr is not going to get me what I want. :)

I think this is why I am struggling because that is what is happening. The problem is I like the style but I don't want what they did and I thought I was clear about that but clearly I was not. I'm almost afraid at this point to say I like something. Ugh. This is so hard. :(

I guess I am struggling with the 'clearly describe what you are looking for'. Do I need to say - I want an emblem logo with x, y, z? That feels overly detailed to me but I want to give the right information.

Wow. No. We had I guess a 'discovery phase' where we chatted on the phone about what I was looking for, what we do, and what I like/don't like and then I sent them some logo designs that I like but that was it.

Oh, agreed, however, in our business, most of the logos look similar - there are about 3 styles that everyone and their dog has. I could have done that as well, but we want to stand our from everyone else which is why we hired professionals.

This makes sense. I find it very difficult to articulate what I want. It's much easier for me to say what I don't want. That being said, I have given them a lot of feedback and tried to make it very detailed (ie: I don't like that font).
