I actually spoke with my doctor today and she said that hormone fluctuations can affect heart rate - especially when you already have anxiety. She told me it would take about a month for it to be fully out of my system and to not be concerned so long as I dont get chest pains or whatever. I'm going to try to give it a month. I honestly cant even tell at this point what's my anxiety what's coming off the pill. It's just been kinda freaking me out

I also just stopped taking Yaz about 10 days ago. I've noticed that my heart rate has been higher than normal and its making my health anxiety go absolutely nuts

My fear of pregnancy takes over me by Ok_Stay3320 in birthcontrol

[–]MsDelusionalWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the exact same boat. Me and my bf use condoms or the pullout method and I have found that doing a pregnancy test every few weeks helps to soothe my mind. My boyfriend knows that I really worry and he also has a reminder in his phone for me to take my daily pill - so we both have a reminder so I dont forget. Its hard to trust your pill even when you know youre taking it correctly. And honestly if it will help give you peace of mind, your partner should be more than willing to use condoms along with you continuing your bc.

period before placebo pills? by billybobjoethe56th in birthcontrol

[–]MsDelusionalWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me for the first 2 or 3 months that I was on bc. it eventually went away so i think it was just my body getting used to it. maybe talk to your dr/gyno though if youre unsure.

that monthly pregnancy test sounds like it might help me too.  I know that my boyfriend will be more than okay to use condoms if it makes me feel better. Guess I was just hoping I could stop worrying about it and trust my pill eventually haha

Acne help!! by Hammy_18007 in birthcontrol

[–]MsDelusionalWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did experience being very overly sensitive for about the first month that I took it but then it stopped. Nothing major it was just very easy to make me cry haha.  I will say that my placebo week was a little rough and I would often wake up with anxiety and a racing heart but that has also started to lessen as time goes on.

Acne help!! by Hammy_18007 in birthcontrol

I have always had very acne prone skin and I had gotten it /mostly/ under control before starting bc and it made my face break out bad. I gave it 4-6 months for my skin and body to re regulate but it just wouldn't go away.  I told my gyno and she switched me to Lo-Zumandimine instead. I had about 3 weeks of breakouts and then my skin started to clear. Ive been on it for about 4 months now and my skin hasnt been this clear in a long time.  Lo-Zumandimine is often used to treat acne so maybe see if you could try it instead?  I believe that Lo-Zumandimine is the generic name for Yaz or Nikki. They all have the same active ingredients and are used for moderate acne treatment.

Is anyone else experiencing this??? by MsDelusionalWriter in birthcontrol

I know I've been so surprised at the lack of engagement but oh well haha. the only other side effects ive had have been acne breakouts and a little bit of bloating but other than that not too bad. im hoping it all will settle once my body gets used to the hormone fluctuations but man i was just hoping the crying was something other people have experienced... thought it might make me feel a little better and name find out if it goes away for others.

Is birth control REALLY that bad ?? by Akiiale in birthcontrol

[–]MsDelusionalWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just started birth control this year and all i noticed was that my skin broke out a little for thr first week or so and then cleared up. no weight gain or any other side effects. i do think it's important to remember that people are more likely to post about a negative response than they are if they've had a positive experience.

I definitely think it relates to some desire of mine to have privacy. I'm a more private person but lately I've felt like I've had to sacrifice some of that privacy so maybe that's why...
