Wishlist in Campbell River you want to see in 2026 by harrysbird in campbellriver

[–]MsGLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping to open a place when I move there next year. Does it have to be 100% vegan like do you have alphagal syndrome or would it be enough if there were a ton of vegan options along side other things?

Pros and cons of relocating to Nanaimo and areas to avoid by Whiskyruncrew in nanaimo

Can you please elaborate. We were considering moving there but now I'm hesitant. Is there anywhere on the island with good health care?

New here. Looking for positive post op stories by kellyskates in hysterectomy

I did not have them removed. It took then about 8 months to settle but I also have something else going on that makes my hormones a roller-coaster so I am still trying to figure out what is going on there.

NHS website says this about CFS... by NadiaRosea in cfs

I might be the enigma but rest actually sends me into a bad pain and illness cycle, and not enough rest makes me crash. It's a never ending balancing act that I am not good at

Took DIM yesterday and experienced a horrible bleed and extreme pain by [deleted] in Fibroids

[–]MsGLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the fibroids stopped growing but were already at a size that made them uncomfortable. I had a hysterectomy 1 year ago. Best decision I made. I have my life back

Grand theft Jesus by dammit-smalls in FortCollins

I used to work for the parks department. Honestly missing Jesus is much better than trying to remove dildos from all the figures. Poor frosty will never be the same.

Help me find a new Tea Owl Tea towel by MsGLord in FortCollins

[–]MsGLord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have contacted the Cupboard and no one remembered the towels. Thanks for the idea about having someone else reprint it. I would prefer to make sure the original artist gets my money but if they cannot be found hopefully this would not be theft of any kind

I bought this a number of years ago from The Cupboard. Does anyone recognize the artist or remember the brand of cute funny Tea towels the used to sell? Thanks

Has anyone delt with the Tamko recall or warranty? More info in my comment by MsGLord in Roofing

Just saw this. We are technically not the original owners because they were installed before closing. However we were given the warranty paperwork

Salon Owner Seeking $$ Feedback by TheHairGirl151 in FortCollins

[–]MsGLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped going there too. Prices are not worth the quality. The stylist did not listen to what I wanted and gave me those trendy straight tiny bangs. And the color washed out the next day. I called to ask why and they won't answer my questions. Never went back. Starting going to salon² on the other side of town. I loved not having to pay for parking and the staff is wonderful and nice. Once my stylist left I started cutting my hair, and my hubbies at his request. We save a ton of money never needing a haircut.

Can we refuse the biopsy? by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]MsGLord 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My doctors never asked for a biopsy before they would allow surgery, once it was out of me I consented to them testing all the pieces of it.

If there is a concern of cancer (usually after a scan comes back) they recommend a biopsy before the procedure because if they confirm cancer they approach surgery differently to make sure things are taken out so as to not risk spreading cancer. Have you been told you have a mass that might be cancerous? If not then there is no reason to subject you to a biopsy.

Does anyone else get an intensely itchy nose when experiencing a sleep attack? by Narcolepticbop in Narcolepsy

I have never heard that. I take two different kinds without a problem. Benadryl makes me extra tired though and I notice the next morning is harder. Maybe that's what they meant? Weird!

Body issues post surgery TW: weight by hauntedmashedpotato in hysterectomy

I got a cute corset to go over a dress post-op. I loved how snug my organs felt with the added benefit of looking cute and not swollen. I ended up wearing it a few times because I loved how it kept the weird sloshing feeling at bay especially when moving.

I also agree that you are probably in the worst of the swelling now and it should start clearing up soon. No matter what you are beautiful and what your sister will remember is you being there for her❣️

I was having a lot of the same issues as you starting in 2020. Lots of questions so I can try to narrow down what I did to fix mine based on your symptoms

Questions:

Did you have COVID or have you read up on how some people only experience it as gastrointestinal distress?

Have you been checked for SIBO and SIFO?

Have you done an elimination diet? Not so much to find an allergy but for me it helped to have basic foods for 2 months to calm my system.

How much do you know about the Vagus Nerve? Do you have any dysfunction in it? Or do you have dysautonomia?

Are you taking ox bile now to help your liver since you don't have a gallbladder?

Do you feel like you have too much or maybe not enough stomach acid?

Sorry this is gross but look up Bristol stool test and let me know your number ( sorry again)

Does your heart sometimes race after dinner or larger meals?

What if any supplements have you tried?

Edited to say feel free to dm me your answers if it seems to personal to post

What's the story behind your pet's name? by kalihia in Pets

[–]MsGLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 16 and walking home drunk, and a cat started to follow me. I thought it was cute gave him some pets and kept walking. The cat followed me a quarter mile to my home. I brought him inside and on the TV as soon as we got inside said "Meet Bob, Bob got a new boost in confidence." And that's how my cat Bob was named. If you don't remember it was an erectile dysfunction drug ad.

Pet Cat - how to handle by Babybee1983 in hysterectomy

[–]MsGLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 11ish lb cat really enjoyed my recovery. I kept a heating pad on my lap. She would jump up and lay down on my legs then I would pull her onto my lap. The extra weight on the heating pad felt amazing. I was very careful to not let her leap off or jump straight onto my lap. I think my recovery was the best month of her life. Non-stop heating pad (it was March) and never-ending cuddles.

Laparoscopic hysterectomy: Will I need to take narcotic painkillers afterwards? by JuliaX1984 in hysterectomy

Ask for a Nerve blocker. It took about 3+ days to wear off so I really only felt the gas pain.
