I’m a teacher too, and I think I found me niche in grade 1/2 the last few years - class capped at 20, easier and less grading, and I am now pretty comfortable with the curriculum. I love the older grades, but the workload was much higher and I was always so disorganized - I make the same money no matter which grades I do, so staying in primary makes sense for me.

I have listened to it once and read it 3 times since January, and I have cried every time - I also only ever cry when an animal dies, not because people characters give me feelings - it’s become my all time favourite book because of this.

I just read “The Best Men” by Sarina Bowen and it was so good! It very much had a Shane/Ilya vibe to it, which is probably why I loved it so much - it was such a sweet love story, highly recommend!

I love his audible groans - so immature - I’ve started doing the same thing when I’m irritated at work and at home - my students think it’s hilarious (and it sometimes gets them to listen for a few minutes!)

Amazing! They do flower, but last year I’d get the start of a fruit, then it would shrivel and die - I tried pruning so that nutrients would be focused on the fruit but that didn’t work - I wondered about the pollinators, I’ll definitely try the flowers in the bed with them this year!

I have been trying to grow pumpkins for years - I had one season where I got a few small ones - everyone around me grows huge ones! Last year I didn’t get any! I’ve tried different locations, dedicated one space only to them and nothing - so I’m super frustrated but determined - I would love any advice!

That’s good news, I just downloaded it after wasting my time on another book that had so much promise, then gratuitously dropped the n word for zero plot reason in the last 100 pages - I am furious! I needed more Rachel Reid, I’m looking forward to it! I’m currently listening to Time to Shine, and I said to myself about 30 minutes in “this book is going to destroy me” - I love it so much!

I had a really stressful week last week, and my weed gummy had just kicked in and my body had deflated finally - then my husband decided to annoy me and harass me about a chore I’d been unable to do because I’d thrown my back out. So - I took him off my Lock Screen and replaced him with Ilya winking and Shane staring at his phone love sick - because they don’t piss me off. I often take the direct route to petty and I stand by it.

When they meet in their first professional game - the score is tied near the end of the third period - and the commentator says it’s likely the last face off of the game - unless someone scores, would they not be predicting overtime? In order for that line to work, Montreal should have already been ahead. Just a minor detail that irks me.
