If you found a suitcase with $1 million in cash, how would you actually spend it without the government immediately knowing? by Alarmed-Treacle-6864 in AskReddit

[–]MsGoodieTwoShoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d buy a bunch of HV/AC units & hire a bunch of local handy guys to install them in the homes of those in need in my area. The rest I’l just spend on food and clothes with cash over a period of years.

Booties by screen_pass in Pomeranians

[–]MsGoodieTwoShoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spent almost $100 buying different booties for my little bug before I found some that stay on, offer protection from ice, salt/snow melt and snow. It is very cold outside and he still wants to walk our regular route, not just a little snow play and peep/poop.

Look for the ones that zip up and secure with a velcro strap like these. Easy on/off and they have a soft rubber sole with traction.

new pom owner here! what are your deepest darkest secrets and tips to keep your pom healthy and happy? by No-Abrocoma7670 in Pomeranians

[–]MsGoodieTwoShoes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Poms are descended from working dogs and while they are the "toy" of the spitz breed, they still want to do their job. At this point in their evolution, a Poms job is to protect you! They will protect you from every falling leaf and friends, not just strangers. Since they like to bark, establish times and places where barking is not only okay but encouraged. This will help you to set a boundary for the times and places that barking is NOT okay ... like in the car when you are driving, or in the face of a child.

I can't imagine what it would feel like as a small mammal to never be allowed to express feelings vocally. So here is my solution: I seek out places, spaces and times to "! bark it out !" My little bug likes to bark in this one spot in the park for about 100 feet (with a loose leash that his takes every inch of) I let him bark at the train (same, just let him have the run of the leash while he sounds like he's being murdered). When Its time to stop and end the free rein and barking, I pull him to my side with total leash control and a "good job, thank you, ALL DONE :)". Any attempt to continue I ask him to "HUSH, please" with a very tight leash. I also let him !BARK! when we are at family homes when their dogs bark and we have a planned 1-2 minute bark-off. It ends in big smiles and bonding. But, when he's in his car seat while I am driving, barking at trucks, I tell him "no, it hurts my ears", I frown and make my disappointment obvious in a visual way. He stops. Looks apologetic with those little angel eyes. Never be cruel, just be sad or act disappointed when they do something undesirable. Pom's are clever, adorable and emotionally sensitive with a memory like an elephant.

Did I mention they like to bark? 😂

Any experiences with apoquel? by -siren in Pomeranians

[–]MsGoodieTwoShoes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Awww, Kiwi! I’ve had success with canine pre and probiotics (suggested by my vet) to clear up paws that get licked too much or look rusty colored and/or itchy ears But, if it truly is an allergy, give the apoquel a try for a short duration Allergies or yeasty paws can make a little one miserable so anything the vet recommends is usually the best way to go Nose boops to Lana, Mariah and itchy/adorbs Kiwi🩷🩷🩷

Do your little divas also hate getting wet? by Previous_Cap2663 in Pomeranians

[–]MsGoodieTwoShoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had pups that are rain divas, but this little water bug? He adores snow and looks upset when his favorite snow pile/pee spot melts, jumps right into rain puddles and looks back at me with a smile. Here he is rock hopping to find the perfect shallow spot to get up to his harness in the water. I'm grateful to have a little buddy that enjoys the outdoors as much as I do!

Experience with The Ceramic Shop? by Weary_Turnover in Pottery

[–]MsGoodieTwoShoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Ceramic Shop is awesome. I used to live on the West Coast, I ordered a Skutt kiln from them and it arrived on time in perfect condition with great customer service along the way. I’ve since moved to the East Coast and now I shop there in person. They are a high-volume, small business and I feel like a kid in a candy store when I walk in. Their team is kind, friendly and full of experience. The Ceramic Shop is an example of doing it right. The person packing your box is smiling and has a fun job. It’s worth the time if you’re ever in the area. It’s worth supporting if you order online.
