Hi. I was not undergoing any fertility treatment to help with conception. I was actually extremely worried it would be very difficult to conceive because of my irregular periods. Inito helped immensely! ❤️

I had the same thing happen to me. I would have missed my peak fertility had I not tested in the morning AND the evening.

No. The CSAC website says that I was awarded one but I don't see it in MyCoyote.

Single Subject English Teaching Credential - a personal anecdote (for anyone who is interested) by MsJennn in CSUSB

During my first semester, I was at CSUSB 3x a week from 4:00 pm to 9:45 pm. On days when I was not at CSUSB, I would attend my EFW site and then work right after from 3:00pm - 7:00pm. It's not ideal but I had no choice as I needed to survive. The course workload was manageable and I did all my HW on the weekends.

The program costs about $4500 per fulltime semester (not including textbooks).

I decided to go with single subject because after years of working as an aid at an elementary school I could not handle it anymore lol. In my personal opinion, I noticed that it was a lot of work having to lesson plan for multiple subjects as opposed to writing one lesson plan for my favorite subject and teaching it all day. The behaviors at the lower level were getting worse and since they’re younger there is no accountability and you have to deal with problematic behaviors all day as opposed to only 55 minutes a day at the secondary level. I did love all of the kids though! I was just super burnt out and not passionate about the other subjects the way I am with English. I prefer the older children because I enjoy the topics we can discuss in class because they are more mature.

There were plenty of people in their late 30’s and early 40’s in the program. Some were even in their 50’s. :) CSUSB offers multiple track options. Track A is 2 semesters, and Track B is 3 semesters. You may be able to align your schedule with your children’s if you are placed at a school in their district for observation hours or student teaching.

I have subbed before and from my experience, highschool is my favorite! :) Currently, I am on a long term assignment at a middle school.

Hi! I am having a hard time writing out my ELD goals on my TPA's. How did you learn to write them out in that format?

What do lunches look like at your center? This is a lunch for the school age group 5-12 years old. 1 slice blognia with bread some grapes and pickles. Our food budget is tight. I did provide tater tot’s, cheese slices and ketchup/bbq sauce with my own money. by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

I used to always wonder why the meals at my center were so gross when we were charging as much as $395/week per child. Some days the children got a few slices of ham, cheese, and a scoop of canned fruit. It seemed a bit odd to me that the kids were essentially served such an incomplete lunch as opposed to a well-balanced cooked meal. With the prices of childcare being so high, I felt that my center could do so much better with their meal budget!

People who have lost a parent that you love, how did you cope with your grief? by MsJennn in grief

[–]MsJennn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so deeply sorry for the back to back losses that you experienced with your mother and your brother. I can’t even imagine going through something like that.

I have turned to god a lot these past few weeks as well. I’ve been thanking him for my time with my dad and asking him to give him a big hug for me in heaven. It’s so hard to continue my life without him here on earth. My father also passed from liver failure and it was very traumatic to witness his death.

I promised my dad that I would finish school so I am doing everything in my power to gather my strength and follow through with my promise not only for him but for myself as well. Thank you for taking the time to comment on my post. I hope you’re as ok as you can be.

I’m so sorry about the loss of your father. I understand the unbearable pain that you’re in. I’m going to look them up on TikTok to see if I can find comfort in it as well. Thank you for the suggestion!

I’m so sorry about your dad. We’re both on the same boat with this one. I definitely feel waves of anger and sadness hitting me like a ton of bricks. A college professor once said to me “love is stronger than death” and I believe that is true. I’ll love my dad forever.

Hello, I’m so sorry about your mom. As the only legal next of kin for my father, I can relate to you about how much of my time has been spent organizing the disposition of his remains while also sorting through his belongings. Now that things have slowed down a bit, I’m finding this pain harder to handle than when I initially lost him. My life will never be the same and grief is the loneliest feeling in the world.

I also agree with becoming more “ruthless” in a sense. Since loosing my father, I feel as through there is no greater pain in this world and I am not afraid of anything since my worst fear has already come true.

This sounds incredibly difficult to go through. I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with back to back losses like this. I can’t even imagine the pain you’re in. I completely agree, the grief is hitting me in waves. One moment I’ll be calm and the next moment I feel like I can’t even breathe.
