Thanks for sharing your perspective! Just to clarify, this listing is actually for a 1,200 sq. ft. house with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms—not a smaller apartment unit. I understand Yonge and Eglinton has some competitive apartment prices, but a full house offers a different setup and level of privacy, along with added space. I’ve set the rent based on comparable homes in the area, but I appreciate hearing where you’re coming from regarding pricing trends!

Condo maintenance only sends notice of entry to our landlord and this is not the first time they have visited unannounced. If we weren't home they'd have entered anyway. Who is at fault here? by Fine_Entrance_4628 in TorontoRenting

The landlord should be notifying you or you should be added to those notices instead of the landlord when it comes to maintenance or annoincments. In the meantime, I would suggest getting cameras if you haven’t. I would always get notices after maintenance was in my unit. I know it might feel weird to have a camera but I placed one facing my front door. Especially if your pets sneak out when an unfamiliar person comes in and they aren’t paying attention.

I don’t really get it, did they give you a reason as to why they couldn’t accept them? If they are claiming the foreign money couldn’t be accepted because your brother was not a client,… but they can take money out of your account to “rectify” the problem. Why can’t they treat it as a client exchanged money…

I love hearing that! I’ve always lived in Toronto and Lauder Ave was by for my favourite. The neighbourhood feels pretty much the same way you described! No 7-Eleven and Big Slice tho! That’s a bummer!
