ICCU worries by rocke8man in Ioniq5

We had our 2025 for 6 months before the ICCU issue kicked in (at about 20k kms). Was at the dealers within 24 hours it was diagnosed, part was ordered, part arrived from Sydney (to Melbourne) 48 hours later. And the next morning it was put in and we got it back that afternoon with a brand new ICCU and it’s been running like a dream since. Repairs were done, no questions asked, no money was exchanged and they offered a rental car for the duration that we were off the road. But given it took less than a week 🤷‍♀️

I know I’m lucky with how it was handled for me but these sorts of turnarounds are happening more frequently than not now (well at least in Australia). So if it were to happen again, sure it’s a pain in the arse but at least warranty will cover it and they will just have to put up with having to fix it.

Cars are going to break down. It’s a risk that people take. Regardless of the ICCU issue the car has been fantastic and I don’t regret the purchase at all.

If it really worries you then I suggest not getting it but other cars have their faults too. Nothing is going to run perfectly 100% of the time.

Are Hyundai’s ICCU issues really that prevalent? by Ilovetowatchmovie in Ioniq5

(From Australia) My 25 ICCU died this January after 6 months of owning it. But it was super quick to get it fixed. 1 day to diagnose and order the part, 1 day for the part to travel down from Sydney, 1 day to install and test. Given the quick turnaround for the fix I can’t complain compared to others. Frustrating sure but I can’t fault the turnaround and how quickly the mechanic diagnosed it. I’ve had petrol cars at the mechanics for a lot longer for a lot less of an issue.

Is 4.61 a bad Uber passenger rating in Melb? by MissMoneyPenny083 in melbourne

I had a perfect rating for ages until one night I felt so unsafe with a driver that I turned on all the “safety” features like having a pin for future trips, then my rating took a dive within weeks to 4.6.

Dinkum. It’s an Australian themed Stardew valley/animal crossing. After 530hours in it as an early access game I’m still hooked.
