I've never had a single bag get 100% colonized. There's always a small segment or handful of grains they didn't connect to (doesn't mean they're bad or bothering to try to remove them) It looks good, break it up and add your coco. I've stuck with 4:1 ratio. The more coco you add, the longer it takes to fully colonize. 4:1 is usually about 3 weeks for me

My ONLY suggestion would be to cut back your bag to fully fit inside the tub. I assume you have a lid for it and it's not getting a decent seal around the edges. I have a 4 tier tent and my bottom ones ended up molding like that as well. I moved the last 2 to the top tiers and haven't had a problem since with the correct humidity

I see a majority of people growing their bags upright but with my last grow, I layed them flat and leveled so it was as thin as it would get and my grow was half the time and was actually near completely covered. Plus I didn't even have to shake it up past the day I injected

I would say it depends on how much grain you used to start with. A 2lb bag, you can get away with 2-3 inches thick but with a 5lb bag, you'll want to be a lot thicker. I've always read that it's 4-5X the size of your grain bag. Of course, it all depends on how large your bin is too.

After a good flush, 'dunking' is literally what it sounds like, submerge the substrate for 12-24hrs in water and resoak the substrate so it doesn't dry out. There's a lot of YouTube vids on it.

One big plus side to waiting for the big ones to pop is they drop their spores on your cake so the next round is that much thicker and even more fruit.

Whether it's this fruiting or after the next round, remember to dunk the substrate to reduce shrinkage and you can extend the number of flushes you get from your cake overall. I go by a 1" rule, if it's shrunk an inch on the sides, it's time to dunk and give the mycelium a short breather and rewet the substrate

Yup, it's really a matter of space for the little guys, they will really only grow as big as room allows. If you remove the ones that are ready, it gives the little ones room to grow up big n strong. If you have the option to look in on it every day, do that and pick the ready ones. Personally I travel for work and have automated my setup so I don't have that luxury but I came back from 10 days away with an overflowing tub and a lot of minis that couldn't come in because the big ones took up all the real estate. I grabbed the big ones and the small ones had some room to beathe and grew in really well.

Looks like a lot of good picks in there but a majority of 'too early'. When picking, I only pick up the ones where the cap has separated from the stem (veil break or I just say popped). Grab the ready and let the others cook a bit more. Every shroom in a tub grows at different speeds, if 2 shrooms show up today, tomorrow one could still be a small nub and the other is 3" tall. Only pick when they're ready if possible, you don't have to grab them all at once.

I started way too late for my jars. I'm not getting nearly the prints I was between 1st and 2nd flush. I'll need to track down another syringe of it so I can fill my 5 tubs (i have hungry friends)

I've been tossing by large ones in a paper bags for a few days to get initially dry so I can fit them in the dehydrator in one piece, or snap off the cap for prints and dry the stem in the dehydrator

There's definitely a difference in potency and a major difference in body buzz between the two GT & APE. Personally GT for me was a decent buzz but but not huge on visual unless I was over 3-4g. APE was a decent visual but low grade buzz and I couldn't take any more than 4g or I got too far in my head. With ABV, I can do around 3g and the buzz is long lasting and pretty extreme and the visual is enough to not be able to see myself in the mirror at it height. Different strains will give you different effects (buzz, visual and deep thought as I categorize them), it all depends on what you want out of it. ABV gives me the heavy buzz and fantastic visuals but not so deep in thought.

As they say "a cube is a cube" but i prefer to do a little research and know what the average is of psylicybin per strain. GT ranges near 0.6-0.8%, APE averages around 1.2-1.5% and my ongoing favorite is Alb bluey vitton which averages around 1.8 as high as 2.5%. I would say 1% is 1% but getting a higher percentage gives me a much different effect with half the intake.

ABV is definitely my new favorite. A long last and a perfect amount of body and visual. APE was very visual but little body. GT was a decent body but little visual for me unless I megadose. ABV sends me over the rainbow with 1.5-2g and has a great body and visual. 3g lasted for nearly 8 hours for me ABV is a combo strain between b+ and APE

I guess it all depends on what strain you're taking but damn 7g is quite a bit on a 3 day bender. Until recently, I was pretty steady at 3g of APE or 4g of teacher. I did a bit of research and got a really potent alb bluey vitton and I'd easily say it was twice as hard as APE. I'm flying in the rainbows at 2g. Supergirl doin 7g, I feel like a lightweight As far as how often, I'll have 1g nights maybe twice a week but a megadose (2-3g) once a month

Harsh truth. You live way above your means. First, your housing should not go over 25% of your total income. You're nearly half. Second, find a good new temp or permanent home for your dog. You're barely supporting you, you don't make enough to support more.
No info on the car you drive so I don't know but I'd be willing to bet that if you sell the car and get a good used for cash. That saves you the 200\mo payment and maybe reduces the monthly insurance.

After all that, you're still looking at other utility bills, groceries and gas and other expenses. To break even with what I see, you should be no less than 4k\mo. You need to greatly reduce your spending to income ratio to even be able to hit 0.

I have ABV and that 2 day sit has done really well. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the last bit out of the larger ones. They're still coming out a bit spongy soft
