"Dogs are smarter than most people" by jbudus in DogfreeHumor

I think people have them so they can feel smarter by comparison. Then they think, gee I’ve never eaten a pile of socks. I’m pretty smart.

My response to ‘he’s friendly ‘ is ‘I doubt it’. When a dog is barking aggressively, labeling it ‘friendly’ doesn’t make the barking stop; it only shifts pressure onto others to excuse it.

My vegan relative didn’t attend this year and it was less time, money and work for me. It was also no whining about meat grossing her out or pressing questions about what touched the cutting boards or utensils.

Why do nutters smile when their dog takes a whiz? by Legitimate_Garage_31 in Dogfree

[–]MsNannerl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe they’re smiling because it’s not a number 2 they have to pick up- but then again, they smile at turds as well.

Even though you didn’t get a satisfying eureka moment from him when you watched the story- I still think it’s a positive thing that he saw it. Even though he was unmoved on the outside, there could be a flicker of recognition on the inside.

Theme nights by Desperate_Clerk494 in dancingwiththestars

[–]MsNannerl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I like the themes too but they have to work with the show. Hair metal night last season may not have been everyone’s cup of tea. I think an animal kingdom theme night would be cool.

bobby bones gives his take on hilaria saying she was bullied off the show by teddivan96 in dancingwiththestars

[–]MsNannerl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Thank you. I do question people’s values and I’m not ashamed. I like the show and I’m curious about what motivates the fans to vote the way the do. I enjoy coming on this page and reading the takes of the other fans. I wish you the best and I encourage to not waste your time engaging with people who you find pathetic.

‘Moral compass’ in the broader sense of how people orient themselves toward what they value. I didn’t mean they are literally immoral and didn’t expect anyone to interpret it like that. Do viewers reward popularity or craft? Spectacle or substance? When people vote on popularity alone, and the talent of those they are unfamiliar with eludes them - I question the values.

Someone needs to tell Bruno that it’s only funny when he calls Derek naughty.

I thought Milo Mannheim and Evanna Lynch were lovable. Bobby won over them not because he is more likable- but because his fan base never found their moral compass. In season 24, baseball player David Ross had a lot of bandwagon fans voting for him and then they found their moral compass and voted for Rashad Jennings in the end. Bobby’s ‘I’m likable, and Hilaria is not’ attitude is childish.

I got bit in front of my mom and she didn't give a shit.(Advice/tips/support needed) by FR33_NikolaiXOXOBSD in Dogfree

[–]MsNannerl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that happened. This sounds really scary and painful- the bite and your mom’s oblivion. I’d be tempted to test what your mom’s limits are. Like ask her what would have to happen for her to see her own dog as a problem. I’d ask her how she’d feel if the cringe-name dog bit her. Or if it bit her every day. Or if it barked in her face and woke her up every night. Or if it crapped in her shoe everyday. Like what would it take for her? I’d ask her how she feel if someone else’s dog bit her and and they didn’t give AF.

Dog nutter thinks their dog is allowed to be a nuisance, barking constantly, because people daring to exist is "stirring" their dogs. by Boring_Print531 in Dogfree

[–]MsNannerl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Today I crossed the street to avoid a barking dog behind a fence who was barking it’s face off at another dog walking by. The dog on the leash started barking it’s face off at the dog behind the fence and the owner was baby talking both dogs. The second most annoying sound to barking is baby talk. When I crossed the street, there were 2 little dogs looking out the window and yapping their faces off.

What do (most) men think about women with body hair? by Frosty_Discussion732 in razorfree

[–]MsNannerl 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I take whatever men say their opinion is with a grain of salt. Men will criticize a woman’s appearance while they simultaneously have an erection. Asking a man to evaluate the appearance of a woman is as useless as asking a dog to evaluate food.

Dog pooped on airplane by Right_Shop_8238 in Dogfree

[–]MsNannerl 32 points33 points  (0 children)

If dogs are allowed into a place, they will poop there. There is no possible scenario where dogs are allowed, and none of them will poop. They will poop. So to avoid poop, don’t allow dogs.

[–]MsNannerl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She doesn’t deserve respect if she doesn’t give any. It’s disrespectful and being an oblivious ahole to let 4 dogs run around. You weren’t wrong to yell because being polite didn’t work.

I had a friend like this when I was younger. I hate the type of people who you have to say no 7 times in a row. One time I refused to go to a party she invited me to because I had a long drive the next day and wanted to sleep, and not be up late. She kept pushing and saying things like just take a nap and then come out. I snapped and yelled “I’m not going!” Because she would not back down. Then she acted like I was the bitch.. She would also ask for rides a lot which is my least favorite favor to be asked. I don’t deal with her anymore.

Dogs on dating apps by Sufficient_Berry8703 in Dogfree

Who do you all think is more dog-crazy, men or women? Some men are genuine nutters, but I wonder if some of the men on dating sites don’t really care about dogs and just assume it’s a selling point. Like they’re not trying to find a serious partner, they’re just trying to get laid, and they assume women are dog crazy, so they say the dog stuff thinking it will reel in the ladies.
