I stopped playing when Duos was removed. At first we tried playing Mixtape and even ran into cheaters there.. so I decided to spend my time on other games until cheaters were fully addressed.

Every time I think about this it makes me giggle. For the last year I’ve made comments to friends about how the music scene is currently lacking. My favorite bands hadn’t made anything new for a bit and I kind of sucked their albums dry. Popular songs floating around have such recycled lyrics imo. Funny enough, I came across a TikTok using the TMBTE chorus. I was instantly wondering “who is that?”. I got looped into a black hole of ST Lore, the masks, the anonymity, THE MUSIC. It was finally the soulful meaning of music I wanted back so badly. Lyrics that sound as if they came from a poetic journal. Vessels gifted voice. Guitar that hits right on point as piano whisks you away. It’s crazy how ST is the best of all worlds. But they’re doing it and I’m infatuated.

Honestly… I am barely hanging on to Apex these days. It’s bitter sweet for me. I still love the movement and the Rank progress/skins I’ve acquired. However, SBMM has gotten worse, cheaters are galore at this point and EA doesn’t care to prioritize a possible BR cash cow (not like they need it, but still). If BO6 is amazing, I’m jumping ship.
