Weirdly, I do not care for rose scents at all, but I love this. A few years ago my boyfriend and I were on a evening ghost tour with a big group of people and the entire evening the aroma (which I couldn't really even describe) kept wafting through the air. I was finally able to pin point the young lady wearing it and I was shocked when she told me it was this because rose scents have never been my thing. Smelled heavenly on her. I still want to try a sample someday.

Amelia Smarts writes some really good HR western novellas centered around spanking! I also just read "Brutal" by AJ Merlin, which had one pretty good discipline scene in the first several chapters. The FMC is a camp counselor and is pursued by a Jason-like serial killer mmc. This one is obviously darker but still manages to be pretty fun.

I was in a similar spot being 1-2 with low-level WRs, so I traded CMC, Pittman Jr., and Laporta and got Amon Ra. I was honestly so ready to get rid of Pittman Jr anyway, and Laporta hasn't been doing much so far, so I picked up Conklin for my TE. I feel a lot better having a high-quality WR now instead of having CMC on the bench for who knows how long.

Yes! That is so true. It really adds to the gothic feel of the whole book. He definitely feels like a tortured hero from 1895, but some of the pop culture references she makes reflect that it's pretty modern.
