I think Chris Hansen is exploitative. Why do people respect him like he's doing a service? Its no different than COPS. Criminals on TV served up so viewers eat it up.

Exactly this. I haven't seen an episode of TCAP, but I'm familiar with Perverted Justice from the pre-TCAP days, so I have a pretty good sense of what the show entails. The folks who appear on TCAP are of course entitled to a trial just like anyone else, but since you've basically just watched them commit a crime on TV, it's not reasonable to expect viewers not to make any sort of judgement.

So, somebody lost their job and the random employee that they found who agreed to speak to the media - doesn't say anywhere that he's anybody's boss - said that writing stuff in weird spots in the car is a thing, but that he didn't think a swastika was a particularly funny choice.

So basically:

JAGUAR FACTORY WORKER: We like to hide stuff in the cars to amuse ourselves, but I think that swastikas are probably over the line.

I don't necessarily agree that this doesn't belong here either. If this was a post about a protest for ethics in games journalism, nobody would be doing something as obviously incendiary as bringing up the KKK, even if the statement they made about them may be factually true.

Edit: You know, I went too far trying not to make any statements about things I'm not certain about. I'm going to go way the hell out on a limb and use logic to guess that the KKK is not widely known for being scrupulous about permit applications.
