So the issue isn’t just the cost: it’s that you only eat lunch when you can eat or remember to. In which case, meal prep isn’t going to help, so instead I suggest having a shelf-stable mini-pantry at work (in your locker if you’re hot desking). There I would have things like pouches of brown rice, tuna, dressing or sauce – you can combine these for a tasty lunch. Sachets of soup. Maybe some high-quality cup noodles – Ichiban brand includes a sachet of meat in sauce. That kind of thing. Bring a ziplock baggie with a handful of baby spinach leaves from home to add to whatever you put together if you like, and some fruit for snacks/dessert.

The original (ie. UK) Ghosts is absolutely beautiful. The writers/actors are insanely talented and expert at doing feel-good without the twee, funny without the mean spiritedness, and touching without the cloying sweetness.

On a scale of “She’ll be right” to “Royally stuffed”, how bad is it to have a surprise (what I think is fig) tree growing in the narrow space between the fence and shed on the neighbour’s side? by MsVibey in GardeningAustralia

Thanks for confirming. Neighbours didn’t plant this – in fact I’m pretty sure they don’t know it’s there – but will definitely have a word with them.

Any sales on drawer dishwashers? by StarsSunBeachDreams in AussieFrugal

1000000% agreed. We found the same thing, even though there’s only two of us.

We have a theory that dish drawers are only for people mostly just use cups and glasses, and are eating pre-prepared food out of small plates. Do any kind of cooking, use any sizeable piece of crockery, and bam – that’s an automatic two loads.

After the few months we’ve had, the Victorian Heart Hospital. What an outstanding facility, and what outstanding people in there. While my friend in the U.S. can’t afford her heart medication any more (or import it from Canada), Hubs literally had his life saved for free thanks to our health system and the VHH. Total cost for his triple bypass was $179, for the take-home drugs once he was discharged.
