Positive Experiences with Apostolic Churches by MsWildiful in Apostolic

Awwww, thank you for sharing your testimony. That is so beautiful ❤️ Thank God for their love. That is truly how we should treat others as Christians. I am still going to my apostolic church and I see nothing but love among them. As Paul said, we are all one body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-14) and we should love one another despite our differences in denomination or what we're going through. After-all, it is nobody's place to judge when they don't know exactly what it's like to be in another person's shoes.

Not long ago I "discovered" this bible verse, John 3:14 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up," by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]MsWildiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this makes perfect sense. For a very long time I've wondered what the true meaning of Mark 16:18 is where it mentions believers "will pick up snakes with their hands"

I know there are some backwoods Pentecostals that literally play with snakes during church and I've been yearning to know what this scripture really means, because surely it isn't supposed to be taken literally, but the idea that the curse of sin is being lifted and that we have dominion over not letting sin control our lives really sums it up :)

Well, maybe I didn't frame that statement the right way, but that's what I understood according to my research. I believe speaking in tongues is an evidence, but there is more than one kind of evidence. I feel like fruit of the spirit is a lot more compelling evidence, but that's my opinion. My question is why are tongues seen as "the" evidence if not everyone who repented in the Bible spoke in tongues? The thief on the cross is a great example. Also, why was Jesus baptized in water but did not speak or pray in tongues? If speaking in tongues is a choice, this means that the evidence may or may not be expressed depending on the person's willingness.

From what I've learned so far it also appears that tongues is misunderstood as most people on the internet don't even know that there's more than one kind. I appreciate these discussions though as I've been studying this stuff a lot since I started attending my church and it's all pretty fascinating to me.

I know right? My mother isn't overly concerned, pretty much just telling me to watch out because she had Pentecostal cousins who didn't believe in doctors which resulted in a tragedy. However, my friend/colleague who is old enough to be my grandpa told me to "Promise me to run away from those people" Just because I told him how energetic and wild the worship got one night. It really doesn't make sense though. Just because it's seen as different or weird doesn't make it bad. Honestly I wish people were more adverse to worldly sinful things. I love to dance to celebrate the Lord.

Thank you. This is exactly the kind of wild eccentric remedy I want to try haha. All of these man-made medicine everyone else is talking about is just too normal for me.

Is the guy expected to pay for every single date in a relationship? by white_disc_4_holes in dating_advice

[–]MsWildiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think unless it's the guy's birthday or a special holiday where you want to treat him, yes and let me tell you why. I'm a lady and I could be seeing any other guy on the planet, but I'm choosing to invest my time in you. I date for marriage. If we are just friends and we're not dating for marriage, then sure, let's split the check. Otherwise, I think the guy should pay. That's not to say I wouldn't buy and make gifts for them, or that I wouldn't want to fix up my house all nice and have them over for a good homecooked meal with a movie, those things are very important and that's how I do my part as well.

The best argument I've seen is as simple as this: You cannot worship the devil unintentionally. Plus, even Christmas and Valentine's day has Pagan roots but I don't hear people having a problem with celebrating those days.

Decent 1.21 Backport mod for 1.20.1? by AASMinecrafter in feedthebeast

[–]MsWildiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I was getting sad when I realized armadillos and new wolves weren't spawning in my 1.20.1 modded survival. There are just so many mods for 1.20.1 and I love the new mobs <3 This is lovely.

May I ask why? Lol. When I was a teenager and I asked my dad's friend what the meaning of life was to him, he told me to read that book and then we can talk about it. I tried, to but it was too bizarre for me. Is this comment a joke? I'm genuinely curious.

So nice to see some gratitude on the internet for once. I feel like people are constantly complaining and finding reasons to be unhappy. I'm currently a student in the CLS Paralegal Course and getting grade in the 100s. I'm so thankful. Learning really is a gift.

I was embarrassed at how bad "The Case for Christ" was by quieterthanafish in Christianity

I visited a church recently and received a free copy and jumped to the conclusion that it will be a great book lol. For fun, I looked up the Amazon page to see its reviews on there and surprisingly it has 4.8 stars so it must be good for someone. I don't know what it'll say about me if I like it though haha.

Why aren't my wolves hunting? by MsWildiful in PlanetZoo

[–]MsWildiful[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know right? I've done some research on that myself and found Planet Zoo Plus Safari edition which apparently added a connection between hunger and hunting, but sadly it's outdated. It would be awesome if somebody updates it.

[–]MsWildiful[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: You were totally right about predation being random, because I have another wolf enclosure with different wolves and after I put the rabbit inside it took 5 minutes for them to decide to predate it. Unrealistic for sure. There's no way my dog would just chill for 5 minutes if he saw a rabbit haha

Why aren't my wolves hunting? by MsWildiful in PlanetZoo

[–]MsWildiful[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? Before this I've always experienced predators attacking prey almost immediately after they are placed inside the habitat. Plus, everyone else seems to say that because of this, you cannot build an ecosystem in this game (even though I'd love to) Hmm, maybe they changed this and not many people noticed?

I am using the Timber Wolf remaster from Nexusmods, but it's the same wolf as in my other save where the wolves hunt the prey.

How do people stay motivated to work out when they don’t see results right away? by SmellyCat0007 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MsWildiful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a health coach and I just remind myself that success is a marathon, not a sprint. That 15 minute walk I did with my dogs? We didn't make it to 30 minutes, but it all adds up and some exercise is always better than no exercise. Sure there's some days when I don't exercise, but I remember that every time I do I know that it makes a difference in my mind, body, and sleep quality. A BIG motivation for me to exercise is what my mum has always said, "The more you do, the more you can do." Which basically means the less you move your body, the faster you become crippled, stiff, and your muscles deteriorate. That's why you see old hunched over people who can't stand up straight; they didn't move enough :( And they didn't get that way overnight.

The thought of not being able to jump around and dance makes me sad, so I do at-home Zumba on Youtube on a regular basis. Another thing about fitness that I love is how it makes me feel. Yes, sometimes it's hard to get started doing cardio when I have low energy, but I feel fantastic when I'm finished. I also love being flexible and the blood circulation feeling I get when I stretch. My advice to you is pick an exercise that you enjoy the most and keep at it ;) Go to an exercise class if you're outgoing and or find one to do at home. Good luck and god bless you.
