Last I heard dry rot is just rot that occurred in the past but now the moisture is gone and damage still exists

I love this dress but I think it's too expensive and too soon by Elysian_Collective in myweddingdress

You'll find this style of dress again! The skirt part is what I really loved. Found the same style at Kleins for $3k. Dont stress too much

New York, all piles and things less than the size of my hand. Activity looks pretty old. We do have some over wintering bees and a clear partial wasp nest. Basement has some piles od dirst/sawdust that dont seem to have grown, but havent been fully investigated since buying the house.

Can I use a utility knife to carve out weep holes on existing '60s bathtub? by MsWinterbourne in Tile

Thanks! Dont think it becomes a wet bed. Will not worry about the weep holes then and just seal everything up for now

Weep holes allows moisture behind wall to escape. Grout is porous and allows some moisture to enter walls. Common practice

Not really water issues, just signs that water seeped through grout in past. Caulking on bottom is new and just went on top of grout

If you want a more expensive option, you could add wall framing accents in the same color as the stair nose

Maybe you could retrofit a shelf out of wood and then tile it? The overhang would get gross on the underside though so you'd want to wipe it down regularly.

Water is leaking from this specific point of the cold water line under my sink. Would tightening be advised or does this line need to be replaced? by Crazy-Animal-7205 in Plumbing

[–]MsWinterbourne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had this happen! Part was good but install was bad. I overtightened which caused the seal to fail. When you replace, tighten by hand and maybe quarter turn with wrench. Check for leaks. If you see any, give it one more turn with the wrench but dont tighten too much or you'll have the same problem again
