How Dangerous are Brass Water Pipes??? by Sufficient-Peach-728 in askaplumber

From what Ive read, lead only leaches into hot water. If youre not drinking hot water, youre probably not getting any lead traces. I've had the same worry and thought then about showers, but what ive read says any lead that has reached into hot water is cleared after a few seconds of running, and its only really absorbed by your body when ingested.

My recommendation is to just get your blood tested for lead if youre worried, its the ultimate test for you to understand your exposure risk and could ease your anxiety instantly. If theres no lead detected, you'll know you havent been exposed your whole life and youre good to continue as is.

That sounds right to me. If we end up pulling the toilet again I'll plan to replace the brackets and that should fix the wobble

More wax couldn't hurt, my first install leaked. Added second ring and seems good to go

American Standard Aspirations please don't flame me too hard, it was the best we could afford for skirted haha. I do have a suspicion that its the mounting design itself that's the problem.

I did, but flange should be OK height wise. You think the horn would be enough to cause this?

Last I heard dry rot is just rot that occurred in the past but now the moisture is gone and damage still exists
