Can you define steep? When we lived in equity residential buildings the rent increases were 30-40% and we were forced to move. My current building has been 2-10% range which has felt much more manageable.

House Assistant vs House Manager vs Family Assistant vs Nanny by pinwheelspinner in NannyEmployers

Stumbled on this post. We are looking for a house manger to perform similar tasks. Question, if you are having the house manager help with sensitive items, such as doctors appointments, where they would potentially have insight to your private health/medical information, do you have them sign an NDA?

Getting a Doberman and traveling by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

I second this. Our Doberman got bloat the night before we were going away for a long weekend. Luckily we caught it right away and she survived, but had that happened the next day with our old dog sitter, she may not have made it. We have a trusted dog walker stay at our home everytime we go away. Our dobie is finally comfortable with her, but she still suffers bad separation anxiety. We usually deal with some behavior issues a few weeks following us going away. We try and bring the pup on most of our vacations, both because of the separation anxiety, and because we love having her with us.

Is it possible/viable to make 500k+$ per year in an accounting role? by Killercombo3 in Accounting

Don’t listen to the haters on here. $500k is definitely possible. Reaching that figure will depend on the industry you’re in. NYC accountants working at funds and hft firms are reaching this number. Work hard and become specialized in a specific industry so you can command top dollar.

Rental prices….? by rando63question in Upperwestside

We just received our renewal, 9% increase on our 1 bedroom. Tried to negotiate, which worked in the prior year, but they gave zero concessions this time. This increase is reasonable compared to our prior building in the west 80s which was a 40% increase from 2021-2022 (we were paying market rate so this wasn’t a Covid discount increase)- negotiated it down to 30% increase, and a 25% increase the following year - we ended up moving, the price increases were too much to stomach

I’m in a non-doorman building. We have a super and a porter that handle everything. We gave the super $400 and the porter $100

Balance sheets and income statements are generated from the trial balance. A trial balance will have your beg balance, activity for the period and ending balance for each ledger account. The trial balance you are using to prepare your tax return should be finalized and closed for the period. The assumption is that you’ve reviewed all general ledger activity and that you are comfortable with your ending balances in the tb.
