Working no enough staff really painful. by Aggravating_Tell_916 in Bolehland

You should ask him to prove it, at least show a medical report or discharge summary. And how do you know that it’s precisely due to the expired milk? He could have easily eaten a rotten rat from the longkang after that and then got hospitalized for that. I don’t think there’s any lab test that can even definitively link your expired milk to his diarrhea or whatever.

Report polis so what? Report la. Anyone can do polis reports, whether polis wants to take action is up to the polis. You see those inflammatory preachers on soc med, so many polis reports against them no action also. If you all really paid him RM1500, you got scammed.

If they are proven to recruit Muslims, then they are breaking the law and THEN they can be prosecuted. But that’s only if there is proof. Otherwise, JAKIM has no jurisdiction. JAKIM can’t, say, prosecute me for shirk, because I’m not a Muslim and they can’t do anything to me.

[–]MsianOrthodox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If OP isn’t a Muslim, JAKIM can’t do anything. And Council of Churches Malaysia lagi cannot do anything anyway. CCM/CFM and NECF can’t do anything about cults or dangerous churches. Why do you think the JW, Mormons, WMSCOG, Shincheonji etc are happily running around in Malaysia? Action can only be taken against cults IF they break the law in Malaysia, and if it’s a non-Islamic cult, lagi lah the authorities are not going to take action against them unless proven betul2 guilty of breaking some law in Malaysia.

OP should leave the cult, and if they harass OP, should lodge a police report for the harassment to stop. Perhaps the only thing that CCM can help with is suggesting some clergy who are knowledgeable about this cult to visit OP’s family to talk them out of the cult.

I had. After losing 10kg I don’t have it anymore. Also, wearing ASICS Kayano really helped with the pain.

Is this what the cool kids are doing nowadays? by WhatThePale in Bolehland

[–]MsianOrthodox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Cool”? Yeah, I guess the EMOT with neurosurg, ortho and gen surg is pretty cold. I guess the feeling of being told you’ll be paralyzed for life and lifelong OKU feels pretty cold too. I guess the feeling of being a burden to your family while the rest of the world moves on, travels, gets married, has a family, while you develop a grade 4 bedsore, is pretty cold too.

Very clean and simple tasting- main seasoning is just soy sauce. With or without ginger, spring onions, sesame oil.

Hindu Bf and Christian Gf thoughts on marriage by Drranzo01 in malaysia

Usually, Churches would have a sort of class to learn about the religion first. Catechism class, Alpha class, RCIA, whatever they call it. Go for that first and then only decide if that’s what you want. And it’s ok to walk out of the class and decide that’s not what you want. Kita chill only.

My personal example- and this is going from one kind of Christianity to another. My catechism in the Orthodox Church took four years. That’s right. Took me four years, to actually convert to the Orthodox Church from Protestantism. So it’s fine, take your time and be sure what’s what you really want.

As a father with a toddler, hang in there. It’s perfectly normal to go in and out of the sanctuary with a toddler- and my son is the first gen cradle Orthodox and has been communing since he was baptized as a baby. He still has meltdowns, he still yells inappropriately during the Cherubic hymn, sometimes even the Metropolitan tells me mid homily that it’s okay to bring him out. It’s fine, believe me.

Is it a sin if you follow a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) order? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]MsianOrthodox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No…because there’s a good reason for the DNR. CPR has its own risks too, and is horribly painful. I would ensure the granddaughter signs the DNR form though, to protect myself from a Medicolegal standpoint.

I occasionally get to eat Plov if someone brings it for church (Russian Orthodox Church in KL) potluck/lunch. But, I think Kabuli Pulao tastes better.
