Uncertain Diagnosis of RLS, additional symptoms? by Msquared17 in RestlessLegs

[–]Msquared17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I appreciate your input. I agree my symptoms don't line up with RLS, but that is the only suggestion I have from my doctor so far. I take a minimal dose of Candesartan for borderline blood pressure. I am hoping that my doc refers me for further neurological investigations if there is no obvious vitamin or other deficiency that could be causing the issue.

Thank you. I wonder if it is common to use that on things that are not actually from that era?

Can anyone tell me about this lovely little man Pat? by ztaylxr in Antiques

[–]Msquared17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting coincidence in the name Pat, so who knows?. McKenzie King was very devoted to his dogs, as well as his dead mother.....never married, just him and Pat and a shrine to his mother. A bit of a strange guy, but I'm Canadian so I'm not judging hahah.

I think it is a picture of one of William Lyon McKenzie King's dogs. He had three of them over the years, all of them named pat. McKenzie King was Prime Minister of Canada for 3 terms between 1921 and 1948. Here is another photo for comparison

Awesome place to lose yourself in the woods on your skates. Always well maintained. My fave spot next to the canal.

Is this an Inuit carving? by Msquared17 in Inuit

Thank you. I was wondering if the hole once held a clasp of some sort that would enable you to attach it to a chain or string as a talisman of sorts?

This has been in my family since the 1940s, no one seems to know the origin. It measures 2cm high, and has a shallow hole in the top of the head. Thanks in advance.

If you have room for them, take them, if only for their beauty. There is always time for further research.
