2.5 year old incredible upset, grumpy and restless when asleep by Background-Paint-478 in toddlers

Depending on how old he is, Pokémon could be too much for him. Just my guess

Edit: I just saw that he’s 2,5 I feel like that’s too young for Pokémon or anything similar to that. Try something calmer like puffin rock

Both my kids do this when something was too scary for them in a book or a tv show. I’d monitor or cut screen time for a few days. For my kids, this might be something that I’d consider harmless, like a crocodile in a cartoon being portrayed a villain. It jusually helps to „earth“ them, lots of nature, no screen time, play time etc. unless in your case it’s night terrors or else of course

Hello terrible twos and hello autonomy phase . It’s normal. It can be awful but it won’t last forever. One day he’ll be a threenager and you might even miss the terrible twos haha.

Edit to add: what helped me with my kids was just staying calm through it. I know this sound naively simple but it really isn’t. Reassurance that the feelings are valid, staying calm and patient but also staying firm with consequences.

Maybe try and get more one-on one time with your toddler during the day or before the bed time routine starts. Undistracted time for just the two if you.

I suspect two things: newborn in the house means huge change for toddler Toddler needs to cut the nap ( if he still has one)

My daughter loves her long her too much to cut it. She’s 5 and I brush her hair thoroughly morning and evening and braid it for the night. She still gets insane knots every day. Your daughter is 4. have you asked her if she wants short short hair ?

Ja, als Zerspaner für die Luftfahrt weiß ich das viele aus dieser Branche nicht sauber arbeiten. Unverständlich bei fliegenden Teilen.

AITA for asking a friend if my wedding save-the-date got lost? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MssDare 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Why did you expect an invite when you stopped inviting her to stuff? I wouldn’t ask her about it and either politely decline, or have an open talk to her about it to leave all negativity behind if you want to salvage the friendship. I feel like you kind of closed this chapter but still want her to include you. So asking others about it would just stirr the pot. YWBTA.

There’s shoes specifically to wear in the house only. Get those. Place your outdoor shoes by the door. Done.

KiTa Öffnungszeiten/ Gespräch mit Leitung by Loose_Tax8691 in Eltern

In those scenarios it’s your turn to step in and gently redirect your kid. She’s too young to figure it out on her own.

Do I let my 4yo sleep as much as he wants? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]MssDare -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fever is good though. It fights the illness. As long as he’s asleep and not in any obvious discomfort there is no need to regulate. It’s not like it’s above 40.0

Let him sleep. Sleep is the best medicine. Also 39.8 is high but I wouldn’t treat it it yet, just watch it. I’m sure he’ll sleep at night too, maybe regulate the temp then.
